LOL. Don't know who in the Stars' marketing department decided to drag Avery into anything, but that was easiest fight avery ever has had.

Didn't Avery play for the Stars for less than a year? Unless he had a $32 million contract, they didn't pay him $16 million. He's a moron.

They signed him for four years, $15.5 million, then when the Rangers claimed him on re-entry waivers the Stars had to pay half his remaining salary.Idoit40fans wrote:Didn't Avery play for the Stars for less than a year? The Stars probably paid him $9 million all told (near-full season and half of three), but when you consider he wasn't worth anything near the original contract they (meaning Brett Hull) gave him, that's probably why he says $16 million now.

What part of my post led you to believe that I needed that explained to me? I intend to remove that doubt in the future.

Pretty sure the immortal Brett Hull was the GM for Dallas who signed Avery to that horrible deal...Idoit40fans wrote:Didn't Avery play for the Stars for less than a year? Unless he had a $32 million contract, they didn't pay him $16 million. He's a moron.
