A Momentary Lapse of Reason wasn't bad. It's not as good as the stuff with Waters in the band but I liked it.

Yeah, Momentary Lapse was my first foray into Pink Floyd, which of course led me to all of their seventies work. It has some good tunes on it, but not in the same level as Meddle or Dark Side.

polyphonic spree is the dude from tripping daisy. (i know.... who?), and it's like a 30 piece choral ensemble. my band opened for them years ago and i thought the whole thing was kind of creepy. the fanbase was into it on a bizarre level that seemed cult-like.

Speaking of decade+ old emo...I pulled out a Braid record the other day and really enjoyed it.

Braid is awesome, they've stood the test of time.

More emo related, Hot Water Music have established themselves as my favorite band to have come out of that scene.

There's not only a new Braid record out (first in 15 years), but they are playing in PGH tonight.
