I've had similar complaints, but in regard to mustache hair going into my nose when I'm trying to sleep.

Instant equity for the buyer.

Altho I've never heard of an appraisal coming in over. Under, yes.

In our experience, the appraisal came after the offer and the offer included the downpayment so if the appraisal comes in under then then someone either has to put in more money or offer more concessions. Thus, the appraisals come in just above the offer. If it were too far over then there is the chance the buyer would want to start rolling things into the loan, so the $1000 acts as a cap. This has happened to 100% of the people in my office that bought a house in the last 2 months.

That's interesting. The three home transactions (2 buying, 1 selling) we've been a part of all had appraisals come in bang on the agreed selling price.

When was the last time you bought/sold? Since the housing crash, they've come down hard on appraisers. They are more strict now, instead of the *wink wink* hey the house just appraised for the selling price!

WHEN THE GAS VEHICLES PARK AT THE DIESEL PUMP. NOTICE PUMP IS SINGULAR. THERE ARE 24 GAS PUMPS AND ONE DIESEL PUMP. GO TO YOUR OWN PUMP.

You'd think paying a dollar more a gallon would get you special treatment.

First house closed in February 2010, sold it in August 2012, bought new house in November 2012.

Altho I do remember our loan officer (same guy for both purchases) telling us the appraisal process was going to be different this last time around. Which sorta scared us, because in order to get the house we removed the appraisal contingency from our offer.......

Thank you! It's like every year somebody is trying extra hard to come up with the word of the year. hate it.
Twitter has brought about so so many new completely obnoxious words and phrases its crazy. I've blocked/muted, well tried to anyway, any time I see someone uses them or I get it placed into my feed.

Of course, the granddaddy of em all that we all hate "bae"
Ending every sentence with "tho" or "doe"
and the one that makes me want to chuck my phone against the wall each and every time, saying something or someone has "No chill"

Who the F*** starts this stuff? And it just snowballs at lightning speed.

The best is when they park there just as a parking spot, not even getting gas.

Just put diesel in their tank. Carry a funnel in your vehicle to make it easier. When confronted, tell them you felt like being a nice guy and wanted to fill a random person's tank as well as your own today and you thought their vehicle must be a diesel since it's parked in front of the green handled pump. You were just trying to make their day...

lol, no. We have a jetta tdi and a 97 12 valve cummins, both of which are bone stock. No stacks... hell, it barely blows smoke. I don't have daddy's money to run around burning up all that fuel just to look good.

I never realized that diesel pumps won't fit I to a regular gas tank.

Ambiguous data:

Working on a benefits budget assignment for a class. They give you employee percentages (single, married no kids, married w kids), total number of employees, and in the cost table, they have medical costs per employee for each group of employees. Problem is, the prompt only says 68% have a PPO, 30% have an HMO, and 2% don't do any of that, but it doesn't specify how those percentages relate to the employee numbers (so how does that 68% include the single persons, the families, etc). I could've been done 20 minutes ago, but now have to wait to get a clarification on how those percentages are represented in the employee numbers.
