I sure as hell know I am excited for next year! With these changes and Mike Sullivan at the helm we should be going deep into the playoffs!

KG wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2024 10:16 am Edmonton is over the cap and they need to sign RFA's. Would not be surprised if we do another Hayes trade to get paid to take Kane...we have a huge hole on 1LW. Kane would fit the mold. I think he has some type of trade protection though.

You don't think that DOC can fill that role on Sid 's line? I would hate to bury him on the 3rd line.
I think we have to remain competitive to keep Sid happy. He's earned that. Trade for Kane, get an asset to take the contract on. Retain and deal him next season for another asset etc.

I like my idea. Sign Sid to one year deals if they are out of the playoff trade him for a 1st and then resign him the next year to a one year deal and rinse and repeat! Brilliant idea right??

I'll say one thing for Dubas, he's not giving me false hope this time.

Montreal’s GM is the former agent who signed Letang to the contract so I think he knows the terms .

Madden was also butchering Gryzleck and Beauvillier’s name. I’m not a local fan so I don’t listen to him. That surprised me. Thought he was more knowledgeable.

He is by far the most knowledgeable in the area. He mispronounces many names on purpose….

I would rather see to do something big and really try to compete for the last time or just start rebuilding.. now we are stuck in middle again

I think we will be worse. This is an old show team.

Problem isn't the old and slow part as much as the trying to play young and fast. This team could be a playoff team with a more defensive and opportunistic approach with a good power okay.

Exactly right. That's the problem with continuing with a coach that is stuck in 2016.
