If I'm Jake, I'm not signing an extension unless someone really breaks the bank....No reason to limit yourself to 1 team, and wouldn't be chomping at the bit to play in Canada.

Vancouver is pretty loaded talent wise. Are you looking for max money, or the chance to win another cup or 2?

Agree. In the beginning it seems like Dubas wanted a roster player + prospect + 1st round pick. Hopefully he sticks to his guns and gets one of Perreault or Othmann in the deal.

If we believe the rumors that KD asked for Hoglander and Lekkerimi from Van, then a similar return from the Rangers would be Kakko and Perreault/Othmann. KD has said he prefers prospects to picks, so I don't think the 1st round pick will be the 2nd piece in a trade.

Hoping if it's the Rangers we could get Kakko and one of their top 2 prospects. Way too soon to give up on Kakko. But I would want another solid piece, plus a 1st for Jake.
