Street Parking. Worst case scenario is you park down the hill on the main street where the Attic is and have to walk up the hill.
Seconding this. Went there a few months ago for GWAR and had to walk about half a mile to find a parking spot, and that was an hour before the show.

If I remember correctly, residents are also very protective of their spots in front of their house. Parking chairs n'at.
Cool -- thanks for the heads up guys, much appreciated.

Should come out March. They remain the only band I've ever seen live

clearly I'm the only one who's excited

apparently the new album is coming out March 17.

Interesting. As for that pono player that Neil Young is pimping, the review I read said it wasn't worth it.

The first time I heard 'Sail' it was the soundtrack to a GoPro video of fighter pilots doing fighter pilot things in their fighter jets. Then it was in a GoPro video of some dude in a wingsuit. It was the soundtrack for like four or five 'extreme' GoPro videos, I thought they had commissioned the song or something.

Afroman punched a female stage crasher, and he was booked for assault.

Here is his Twitter response.

That's the perfect time of year and venue for a Gogol concert. Pumped for that.

Saw Bush last night. It was great for nostalgia--really took me back to the early days of my discovering music other than what my parents played for me growing up. Gavin managed to sound very good on most of the songs, but when he did Glycerine by himself he just bypassed most "challenging" notes entirely. That's more of what I expected him to sound like, so it's either impressive that he was able to disguise that for most of the night or an indication that one does not have to actually sing much when it comes to Bush songs.

I am not sure. It didn't look like it. How much were tickets? I ended up getting to go VIP for free.

I have no clue honestly, I am pondering the Flogging Molly show in June however. Now there is a fun band to see live.

That's an easy decision. They will probably be a good table setter for Gogol.

Yes...yes it is. The Violent Femmes also play AE in June, I feel lije this might be my last chance to see them. I still find it weird that they will be opening for Barenaked Ladies.

Protomartyr is playing Gooski's in April. Probably a lock for Troy Loney's show of the year.

Apparently it's a pretty limited US tour, and they make it a point to stop in Pittsburgh because their first US show was at Gooski's.

Speaking of Gooski's. I'd love to hear a review of that place from the poster who was going there for the first time.

I just discovered this.....

The discussion of Rolling Stone magazine in the SNL40 thread prompted a search about things that suck about Rolling Stone. It lead me to this letter to the magazine - which was written on the back of an air-sickness bag.
Your peculiar 1970-time-warp attitude, coupled with an innate, congenital miscomprehension of rock & roll, continues to fascinate and annoy. Thank you, oh thank you, for the pseudopolitical slant and personal dishonesty that you continue to peddle in your outdated, opinionated, down-home rag.

Thanks also for the finely tuned musical assessment of my group from our sound check! Grow up. You invented the bitterness. I pity you. You suck. You are boring and you try to infect us.

Awaiting your charming review of my current album in about eight months!

Reading the article that spawned that letter leads me to believe Roger Taylor is way too sensitive.
