C'mon, they do this every year. Bryan was added last year. Cena and Punk fought for Cena's title shot the year before last.

So Booker is arguing that the Ascension is the next big thing while heel announcer JBL rips them.

They have to be doing this stuff on purpose just to F with people.

Also Gold and Stardust are just faces now??

Here are my Rumble thoughts:

I'm not opposed to Reigns winning. Assuming, as the third parties report, that the Slammy voting is legitimate, Reigns beat Ambrose, Rollins, Lesnar, and Cena for superstar of the year. If that's the case, he is adequately popular. What bothers me is the unimaginative way they got tot he end. Cesaro, Ambrose, Bryan, Ziggler, and Bray should have all had a roll in the ending, and the story telling should have all had them looking good going into the Rumble. Instead, Ambrose was losing to Wyatt in funky ways. Bryan gets unceremoniously eliminated, Ziggler was off TV because he got fired and Cena had to redeem him, and Cesaro -- sheesh. Instead they continued the one dimensional Authority line and made Big Show and Kane look strong. If Reigns goes over the other stars in an exciting finish, I can live with that. And I can give him a chance. It's the ultar top heavy one dimensional story telling that is ruining the current product. The Attitude Era was great because the mid-card was interwoven with the main event. Now, the mid-card just jobs to the main eventers and get no where.

Also, I will blow a gasket if Cena beats Rusev given how much they invested in Rusev, like Wyatt before him.

Ryback is 100x better wrestler than Reigns. That says a lot.

So the Rumble was pointless pretty much.

Bryan beats Rollins tonight, Reigns beats Bryan at Fastlane... we still get Reigns vs Lesnar at WM all while making Bryan look weaker. Bryan will then face Kane for the 100000x time or something.

This company.

Are they really setting up Bray vs Undertaker?

What the hell is the point? They ruined the UT last year!

I kind of figure Reigns will win the title and Rollins will cash in. Setting up a Shield feud for the title.

The HHH interview was great. Highly recommended. You'll be more sympathetic to him after you listen to his interview. Very enjoyable.

HHH has a great head for the business. my favorite part of the interview was right at the end where austin asked him what he'd change about raw, and he said

-move it back to 2 hours
-focus more on long term storytelling
-ease off fully scripted promos
-give the divas more focus

That's interesting because I've always heard stories that HHH wanted to get rid of the women's division entirely.

if you watch NXT, the women are a main drawing point of that show. if you get talented wrestlers and give them more than a couple minutes, you'll get matches people enjoy and characters people care about. I haven't heard anything like that about him in the past, but i'd say what he's done in NXT lends some credibility with that statement

With DB winning yesterday, doesn't that mean they'd almost have to have Reigns turn heel for Fastlane? He's going to get 1% of the support if he tries to remain a face when he goes against DB.

And that way if you have a DQ and make WM a triple threat you can have a Reigns as a pure heel, Bryan as a pure face and Lesnar as a half and half

The Bryan vs Rollins match was very good. Those two have very good chemistry together.

I started watching the HHH podcast with Austin... interesting watch so far. He does say, like someone mentioned above, that Vince always makes the final call on stuff. Will try to finish up the last half of it tonight.

The second half of Raw had some really solid matches. Probably my favorite show in a while. Good stuff.

Quick thoughts on the possible Bryan/Ziggler match up. One way to get me to buy in big time is to make it a #1 contender for the WWE title match. Ive been thinking about Reigns and why I don't want him as champ. It isn't because he hasn't "earned" it or hasn't paid his due to the fans as Austin likes to say. I don't give a flying Uso about dues. I only care about who entertains me and is a believable champ. Right now, that's Bryan. He could be this generation's Bret Hart to Roman's Diesel.
