I stopped watching after they made Bryan drop the title. Just paid attention to this thread and /r/squaredcircle. Decided to watch tonight because the Rumble is my favorite PPV but it ends there. I have 0 desire to watch the road to Wrestlemania.

Hey at least we have Cena vs Rusev to look forward to. The annual Wrestlemania burial at the hands of Cena.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I was talking just specifically rumble matches, but yeah last years was pretty bad too.
The triple threat was the saving grace of the show.
Anyhow.. Reigns vs Lesnar just does nothing for me. At all. Reigns isn't gonna flop around like Rollins or Cena did for Lesnar. Whatever. I mean I guess I should be happy they are trying to put someone new on top even if it's not the guy I would have picked right? Trying to look for a silver lining here where there is none.

They may be able to fix this with a double turn. Lesnar is mega over. Let Reigns embrace the hate.

It's like they refuse to give the fans what they want. That's fine to throw in a shocker every now and then but sometimes you have to just let the moment happen.
This Rumble did nothing. It didn't give the win to a face that actually had the crowd's support. It didn't put more heat on a heel that needed it. It accomplished nothing.

Just canceled my subscription to the wwe network. I'm done. This company will never change. WCW going out of business was the worst thing to ever happen in the pro wrestling world.WWE will never change without competition

Ha. No way they turn Reigns, he is there hand picked replacement for Cena. I Just don't see what they see in him, but I don't write the checks so my opinion doesn't matter.nocera wrote:They may be able to fix this with a double turn. Lesnar is mega over. Let Reigns embrace the hate.

The Triple Threat match was perfectly booked, and wrestling done right. Too bad most everything else on the show was such a **** sandwich.SolidSnake wrote:Rollins stole the show IMO

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I turned off before the aftershow thing came on, but apparently Cena and Rusev had words...
So WM...
Reigns/Lesnar
Cena/Rusev
HHH/Sting
Bryan/Kane or some other lackey...
That looks like a pile of turd.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
In Kayfabe reasoning how based on tonight would anyone think that Reigns had a shot at beating Lesnar.
Reigns did next to nothing in the rumble match. He then needed Kane and Big show to argue to eliminate them. This wasn't even the 1999 version of these men but the 2015 version of Kane/Big Show.
Meanwhile Lesnar took 3 AA's, a couple curb stomps, an elbow through a table, 2 or 3 shots with the MITB briefcase and brushed it off like it was no big deal.
Lesnar was made out to look like an unstoppable monster, Reigns like a joke that needed all the help he could get to win the rumble.
..... and even with all of that somehow they will book Reigns to beat Lesnar at WM with a spear and a superman punch like its nothing.

Yeah, this is what's bugging me. Reigns is gonna be portrayed to be better than Cena and Rollins put together. This is why I thought they should have taken the belt off Brock in the triple threatskullman80 wrote:In Kayfabe reasoning how based on tonight would anyone think that Reigns had a shot at beating Lesnar.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Fantasy booking... Heyman comes out on RAW and sells Lesnar's injuries. Bryan comes out and points out that he was stripped of his title because of injuries, and having an absentee champ is bad enough, but one injured is a step too far. The authority comes out and basically tells him "too bad". This causes the locker room to empty out, threatening to leave if he's allowed to remain champ. This makes sense, as the faces believe in fair play, and the heels are all scared spitless of Lesnar. The authority agrees reluctantly to strip Lesnar of the belt, and announce a tournament on who will face Reigns at WM in the main event. It's of course rigged for Rollins to win the spot, and he beats Bryan in a semi final, while Ambrose beats Kane or something. In the final, Lesnar comes back and demolishes both Rollins and Ambrose, making the match a no contest. The main event of Mania is a triple threat between the former Shield. Not sure what to do with Brock after that, but I think that at least makes a more interesting main event.
