In other concert news, I scored 2 free Marilyn Manson tix today. Ive seen him 5 times since 1997 and he used to be a very good show. I last saw him at Mayhem Fest a few years back and wow was it bad.

I didn't want to see them that bad.

$125 with Linkin Park as the headliner? No thanks.

Mastadon is great music. Meh show though. I mean, they go up there and tear it up, but eh, it wasn't much of an experience the time I saw them.

Your forgot the best band on the bill, Graveyard. They haven't been here in a few years and I'm pretty sure that was their only US appearance. They opened for CKY and a bunch of garbage so I skipped that so it's nice to see them with some solid bands. Although Mastodon's live performances have basically bored me to tears since they went prog on Crack The Skye.

Ive seen Mastodon one time at a Mayhem fest a few years ago, they did strike me as a boring/vanilla band live. But wow I dig the new album.

Found this band on Bandcamp a couple years ago. Very heavy AIC influence but more hard driving.

Trey singing? No thanks...
From the link, it says guitar, don't see anything about him singing and even so, it would be worth it to see everyone together again.

I hope they do a live broadcast on their sirius channel or somewhere, I have zero issues with sitting in a lawn chair with a cooler of Oat sodas in the sun listening to the dead for 3 days over America's birthday. Kinda sounds like the most relaxing thing in the world actually!

I'm ready to be flamed for this.

Now I don't listen to the radio very much. Since I started using Spotify and upped my data to 10gb per month the radio has pretty much been pointless. I did happen to catch the new Linkin Park and Fallout Boy songs and they were both really really good. The vocals are the worst part, as always, but musically and melodically I thought they sounded awesome.

I saw Linkin Park in 2000 something with MetallicA. I hated them. It took them over an hour to set up their stupid stage (complete with slide...) for a 35 minute set. Sorry guys, but if you're opening for MetallicA you're pretty much just in the way*.

I will also add the new Linkin Park song with Daron from System of a Down is very good. I also dig that Guilty All The Same song by LP.

I've been on this crusade for years but this video is the biggest, most comprehensive and impressive collection of clips that anyone should need to see to make up their minds. I'm curious if anyone can actually stick up for this.

Not sure what you are trying to get at? Should we all stop listening to LZ because they took something and made it their own, because nobody does that, right? Is it because they were famous and made millions from it? They are one of the greatest bands in the history of the world, it doesn't bother me one bit.

Also, what about the 82+ other songs they did? LZ is one of the few bands in the world that you can go through their entire discography and rarely find more than 1 or 2 songs on a album that aren't incredible. Who cares if 15% of their total output pays tribute to someone that influenced them and they didn't put a name on the album sheet

and 1 more thing, who is to say that those old blues artist they stole songs from weren't passed down to them from someone. That could be a whole long list of stealing. Just enjoy the good music. If anything it opens my eyes/ears to music I may not have discovered without them.

there was a court case between Spirit and Led Zeppelin that was still active as of a few months ago. Round one went to Spirit.

I can't remember if I've seen them packaged with another show. I want to say I did, but I can't place which tour it was.
