is that site or writer usually anti-Vince? If not, that's a pretty scary article.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I normally wouldn't believe that, but after hearing Vince on Austin's podcast, the guy is really really out to lunch on the current product. So while it may well be "newz" it honestly wouldn't surprise me if Vince felt that way.

Yeah, this seems like nonsense. If anything, I think Vince gets too married to his own vision, and anything not in his vision, he has no interest in promoting. If there's an ounce of truth to this rumor, it's probably not that he hates NXT, it's that he just doesn't really care about it because it doesn't fit his agendanocera wrote:I don't buy that for a second.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Vince also loves competition and I'm sure he loves tossing a wrench into the locker room to keep them on their toes. The whole "brass ring" talk on Austin's podcast, saying Cesaro doesn't have charisma, and challenging the wrestlers to step up their game. He did that to create competition within the locker room and light a fire under these wrestlers who are just happy to have a job. NXT is the best competition they've had since WCW. When was the last time the WWE guys felt they needed to one-up another wrestling show?
Maybe I'm speculating just as much as the article, but to me Vince "hating NXT" and punishing the NXT guys simply goes against everything I've ever known about him.

One Reason Why Dolph Ziggler Lost the Intercontinental Title
According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com, one reason why Ziggler lost the IC Title is that the office was upset with him for booking a stand-up comedy gig without notifying the office first.

I don't get why they didn't keep the house lights up considering they're in one of the most beautiful and iconic wrestling venues. They could literally be anywhere.
*edit* And in an overbooked mess of a main event, Lashley is your world champion. Yikes.

Meltzer gives the IC Title match in WK9 five stars. This really seemed like an awesome event, will probably order it at some point.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I don't know, I thought the majority of the TNA show was pretty good. Kong's return was awesome. The crowd was SUPER into it, as they have been every time they've taped in New York. The look and feel of the show was totally different than it's been. Josh Matthews really helped make it feel fresh and while he's not as experienced as Tenay, he'll only get better. It'd be great if TNA could ditch Taz and bring in Striker. The X Division match was a lot of fun.
The problem with TNA is they have far too many over-the-hill ex-WWE guys in prominent positions. If they'd focus on "TNA" guys, I'd be way more into the product. I get that there needs to be a mix of established names and home brewed guys, but right now the mix just isn't right.
Way too much talking going on for a company who claims they're a "wrestling company with a TV show not a TV company with a wrestling show."
They also LOVE them some heel authority stables. Way too much MVP nonsense going on, causing an overbooked mess in the main event. The sooner wrestling in general goes away from heel authority figures, the better off we'll all be.

It can definitely be a good wrestling show if they focused on their strengths and stopped trying to be WWE Light.
Do you want them to succeed? TNA failing would only hurt wrestling.

I totally agree. That's what I'm saying. TNA needs to stop pretending they can compete on WWE's level and instead focus on their strengths and what got them noticed in the first place.
TNA can be "good" without it being another war. The same way that ROH is good and nobody in WWE is worried about them putting WWE out of business.
