Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I thought the wwe actually handled Punk vs Brock pretty well. If I remember correctly Punk put up a good fight but Brock won with some mild Heyman interference but mostly because he pummeled him with chairs (which was legal) Punk didn't take a hit as he was the severe underdog and Lesnar was well within the rules of the match. But then again the topic is Bryan actually winning so I basically just wasted key strokes I guess.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
The Lesnar/Bryan storyline practically writes itself. Only WWE could manage to screw it up.MalkinIsMyHomeboy wrote:I don't know if I could suspend my disbelief enough for Bryan beating Lesnar.nocera wrote:This is the most logical match, in my opinion. You know how they always force feed Cena as the underdog guy in all his feuds??... you could do that with Bryan/Lesnar and it wouldn't be force fed at all. Bryan coming back from a major injury, not knowing if he was going to have to retire to win the rumble and get a shot at Lesnar to win the title that he had to surrender due to injury. Then you have Lesnar who beat taker at WM and ended the streak, destroyed John Cena from pillar to post at Summer Slam.. The beast incarnate, is on the authority's side(I assume he will be tied in there at this point) etc etc.. I mean the whole thing writes itself from beginning to end.
If they can't see that.. then I'm not sure what to think.

Men. Bryan two years in a row doesn't make sense. And what do you do with the Shield guys if Bryan is the maineventer. Reigns winning and Rollins cashing some time this year makes the most sense to me. Reigns is getting the cena booking treatment, and while he has his shortcomings he's not Cena so I'll take it.

Even with being out for 6 months, Bryan is still the most over wrestler in the company. Nobody else even comes close. And the more they push and shove Reigns down our throats, the more the audience will rebel against him. If anybody but Bryan wins the Rumble, the crowd will boo. I guarantee it.

One good thing about Bryan winning the Rumble is he has never won one before.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Ever since the McMahon podcast I've been listening to the Stone Cold podcast with regularity and the one I'm listening to now, where he talks with Wade Keller, is really really good. They're talking a lot about what we complain about on here.
Austin is great on podcasts, not sure why I'm surprised on this

Austin is a big Cesaro fan. I've heard him talk about him on multiple episodes. I thought it was funny on his podcast with Vince that he rent straight for the "What are you doing with Cesaro?" question.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I don't think anyone here really does. I think even female non wrestling fans do watch it tho simply becuase its a "reality" show on E. Can't pass up one of those. I was actually going to post in here tonight because its showing up all over my twitter feed and I'm pretty disappointed Paige is on it now. She's actually a good female wrestler who people like and you throw her into that horses*** C'mon. Wasn't her character in NXT the anti-diva?

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I watched it early because I had hopes that it was going to be actual reality. I had hopes that it would be about the rigors of travel, training, booking issues, the business side, etc etc etc. Nope.

lol I was watching a basketball game and only switching over during timeouts. I see Reigns cutting a promo saying he's "faster than a speeding bullet, can jump over tall buildings, and more powerful than a locomotive."
Whats next week. HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAAAYYYYYYYY from Mighty Mouse?

crowd is completely dead but I saw people on twitter this afternoon talking about WWE taking a risk having RAW in texas because its notorious for bad crowds. Who knows tho. I definitely blame the bad product more
