Oh man I thought he was at least blue in BJJ. He's gonna get wrecked. I'll watch but this is a bad idea on his part.

Has Kevin Dunn taken over directing duties for NXT? Lots of zooms.

I'm guessing by the lack of discussion that nobody has watched NXT [R]Evolution? It was one of the best wrestling shows I've watched recently and is way better than anything I've seen on Raw/Smackdown or WWE PPV.

Yeah, it was great. Really nothing at all to complain about. Even the divas match was great.
Kevin Owens is gonna be a big star.

It's amazing that NXT is produced by the same people who produce raw and smackdown.

Is it, though? As far as I know, it's HHH's baby and Vince has no say in the creative. I'm fairly certain the creative team is totally different than Raw/Smackdown. The feel of the show generally feels very different than Raw/SD, which is why I questioned the constant zooms last night. That felt new to NXT and stunk of Kevin Dunn.Cagsjr724 wrote:It's amazing that NXT is produced by the same people who produce raw and smackdown.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
A few things that really stood out from NXT last night...
-Sasha Banks is really good. I mean, Charlotte is clearly the better athlete, but Banks is really good at working the crowd and had some surprisingly legit offense.
-Fin Balor... wow. The confidence he showed in that entrance... such a mark out moment. He's going to be a major player. He just oozes charisma. Sucks seeing Itami overshadowed, but whatever. That was a special night for Balor.
-Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are both future WWE champions. Calling it right now. Zayn might be the best natural babyface in wrestling right now. And Owens came off like a million bucks in his debut. This feud is gonna be special.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Since the progression for an NXT wrestler is to get promoted to the main roster after dropping the title, I'd like to see this angle.
The champion states that he has nothing left to accomplish in NXT, and plans on taking a dive in his title match, as that would be his ticket to the main roster. Regal comes out and says that the NXT championship is not a joke, and if he sees him taking a dive, or doing anything other than competing at the highest level, he would be stripped of the title, and have to start at the bottom of the card. There will be no main roster call up, and it'll be months before he gets another crack at the top.
So the champion defends his belt, always hoping someone beats him so he can advance, but he keeps winning. He will go out and make open challenges... put himself in situations with bad odds... but he keeps winning. All he wants to do is lose so he can go to the main roster, but he just can't seem to lose.
I don't know. Just something I thought of that I thought would be entertaining

I'm still on my couch but Ziggler is already retweeting people taking photos from the arena. Awesome.

The last time I was at a house show was in Mobile, Alabama in 2003, and I touched Trish Stratus' boob. We were sitting right on the aisle, she ran close to us and I had my arm out, next thing I know, THWAP and there you go.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I went to a house show when I was really young, where the Adirondack Flames play.
All I remember was that the Taker and D-lo Brown were there. Don't remember any matches or anything else, must've been when I was 8 or so.

Yeah! Cousins are more of an Alabama thing. West Virginians go right for the sistersDudeMan2766 wrote:Cesaro with a West Virginia/Cousin marrying joke. I am inscenced. Might get tossed out of here.
