They are setting Kevin Steen.. er Kevin Owens to come in strong on NXT. Pretty exciting.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I'm gonna predict Sami Zayn beating Neville for the title, and Owens coming out to congratulate him. The announcers selling it as how they've been best friends for years, and then Owens turns on him. Neville goes to RAW in a few weeks, and Zayn and Owens have a HOT feud in NXT for a few months before both are called up to RAW.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I'm hearing rumors that Uhaa Nation is likely the next indie talent brought in to NXT. This would be pretty great. The guy is like 6'2" & 260 lbs, all muscle, and moves like a damn cruiserweight. He's a really great talent, and has all the tools to be a big star. There aren't enough black wrestlers in the WWE, at least ones you could take seriously as main event workers, and he could be that guy.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I just listened to the Austin/Vince interview and my first impression is: wow, Vince is either delusional or lying. He doesn't take any responsibility for anything like the lack of depth (blamed it on the "millennials"), Cesaro not making a jump ("doesn't have the drive") and that the WWE is doing fine and that he listens to the fans. Not to mention that the apology to Punk seemed half-assed and insincere.
At the end he talks about how he's not out of touch and my bullenscheiße meter was breaking. He needs to hand over the reigns to HHH soon or else the WWE is gonna slowly fade away from pop culture

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
CHIKARA iPPV season finale is tonight at 7. but around 6:15, you can check out the pre-show for free featuring a free match between Heidi Lovelace, who is one of the best female wrestlers on the indie circut, and Missile Assault Ant, who is an ant who always yells "MISSILE... ASSAULT... ANT!!!". He has a back story, but it would take too long. at any rate, the match is for The Young Lion's Cup, which is an annual tournament for younger, up and coming wrestlers. It should be a fun match, and of course, I'm super pumped for the iPPV.
if anyone wants to check out the pre-show, go here... " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
if you want to order the iPPV for whatever reason (it is gonna be pretty story heavy... a caveat...), go over to smvod.com

Bad move at 36 years if age. People train their entire lives now to fight MMA and you're going to take a blue or purple belt level of BJJ with with little to no training in other aspects into a fight. He'll most likely be fed some easy opponents, generate buzz, might get a title shot just cause of the money it would make based on his level of celebrity. Oh well I'll watch.skullman80 wrote:So Punk is heading to UFC in 2015.

Interesting but I would put money on him being unsuccessful. For what Pavel said.

I agree, but I wouldn't be surprised if Dana White puts him up against some softie he knows he will beat, even with his limited MMA ability. White is a promoter, just like Vince McMahon.MalkinIsMyHomeboy wrote:Interesting but I would put money on him being unsuccessful. For what Pavel said.

Punk is gonna get owned. White smartly is cashing in off the recent news concerning Punk. Jason David Frank still wants to fight Punk

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I saw an article where White admits that Punk will go against somebody who also has a 0-0 record, who I'm sure is also "heavily scouted" to protect Punk.shafnutz05 wrote:I agree, but I wouldn't be surprised if Dana White puts him up against some softie he knows he will beat, even with his limited MMA ability. There's no way this his MMA career lasts more than three fights.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Punk may not have a great UFC career, or even a good one, but good on him for trying something that he wants to do. I think he has too much pride to let himself look like an ass in there so I'm sure he will at least be able to hold his own when he finally get in the ring. Dana giving him a "softie" won't hurt either.
Either way this will bring big attention to UFC and $$$$$ even if he only wrestles a few fights. Both Punk and Dana know what they are doing.

LOL I completely forgot about this knob job. Is he still around? If I had paul heyman give me an 8 minute promo before walking in right now I'd probably be at least a mid carder. This guy just had nothing.

Generic bad guy look. Awful music. No charisma. No flashy in ring stuff. Mr. Perfects kid I know but he just wasn't entertaining.

I remember one time Rude was on TV and they must have taped in PA cause he led off with "Now listen here all you fat, out of shape, Pennsylvania Piss ants" or something like that. It was awesome. Dude was a great heel and a really good worker. Shame his back problems cut short his career.

Haha I remember that as well. Pennsylvania Piss Ants was great, I think he might of said it at Summerslam 1990 cause that was in Philly.

Sonny Blaze looks like they pulled some fan from the crowd and told him to get in the ring for 2-3 minutes.DudeMan2766 wrote:I miss plain trunked jobbers so much
