That being said it's not bad. It's obviously a rough cut. The riffage is pretty good as usual. James voice is a bit all over the place. Lars is Lars. It could be shortened by a couple minutes to make it a much tighter track.

I don't think it's bad, but I hope if it makes the next album its reworked quite a bit before it gets there... which I'm sure it will be.
Thus the qoutes around New. And your post is spot on.
Sorry I'm half asleep missed the quotes. My bad.

Hopefully a new album is coming soon. It's been 6 years since Death Magnetic and I thought that was a major step in the right direction, though honestly the 4 songs they left off of DM and put on Beyond Magnetic I would have take a couple of those and put them on the album, especially Just a Bullet Away which has a friggin awesome main riff. Starts at like 1:10 or so. So simple yet so good. Rebel of Babylon was great too.

I procured Beyond Magnetic roughly 2 years ago and listened to it non stop for about a month. How Bullet didn't make the final cut is beyond me.

I sang Creed tonight at karaoke in irony and requested it in memoriam of Scott Stapp. I'd like to think I did my civic duty.

A little Soulfly/Sepultura, Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon, and Mars Volta. Pretty good album that doesn't really sound like any of the component bands.

Im debating whether I should go to see Mr. Quintron on Wednesday. The rub is that he doesn't play until 11, which is definitely past my bedtime.

I went to see Pere Ubu on Saturday and was surprised they didn't start until 10.30 given David Thomas is 61 and the band didn't appear to be much younger. Needless to say, however, that 10.30 isn't exactly past my bedtime.

This mashes up pretty well.

Unembedded video due to some potentially NSFW images from the Shaggy video part of the mashup.

These would go better together if they turned down the clav in "Superstition", IMO.

It'd be better to turn down the guitars, but I guess that would sort of defeat the purpose.

Oh god there's a Notorious BIG mashup with the Thomas the Tank Engine theme song (obviously not suitable for a family board, but check it out, if only for the lulz).

The bots beat me this morning. Logged on to buy Foo tix at 10 am, did not even get into the place where I could select seats until 10:12, whereupon I was told the 'best available' option was two seats in an upper section, 9 rows from the top of the Forum. To StubHub I went, where I overpaid for two seats in the lower bowl. No floor seating for this gig, which kinda bummed me out. Mrs Tif claims that she's too old for GA now.

That said, after dropping off the in-laws at the airport last night "Madness" by Muse came on the radio. It will not leave my brain. I dig the song, so it could definitely be worse. But enough already, brain.

Ugh....Foo Fighters Pittsburgh show only has lawn tix left, I guess ill have to see what kinda tix I can get Thursday at 10am. It really grinds my gears that the Foos are so popular now, ive been a fan since 1994 but all the new fans that heard Rope or Wheels and like OMG I Luv The Foos snatched up the good seats.

Damn kids...
