You would think that wrestlers know that Cena always does that shoulder tackle thing after getting tagged in.

Well, HHH warned us that we'd be begging for the Authority to return. Anonymous GM is back? HHH was right. Please come back.
That RAW was downright awful.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
So did anyone ever actually like the anonymous GM thing the first time?
All I remember is people being really annoyed by it, hence the boos.
Plus we have to stomach more or Michael Cole.
Which, by the way, butchered Bryan's surprise appearance. J.R. would have went nuts, instead of just laughing.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
While I wait for dinner, apparently Punk told some truths on Colt Cobana's podcast this week. Havent listened to it yet but from what Ive read he hit on inept WWE doctors and, what I think most of us knew, Daniel Bryan was not in the WM30 Main Event plan. It wasn't a "slow burn" like Justin LaDejan wouldn't stop harping on. They were forced into it. It sucks he's not around anymore and this probably assures he's never coming back, but I've been waiting for this. You just knew he would eventually speak out. Theres people with the "Punk walked out on his fans" attitude but I don't blame him at all and was almost glad he did it. The top guy in the company sticking it to Vince was needed, altho as we've seen Vince isn't going to change for anything. Can't wait to listen to this.

My cousin has 3 tickets to WWE Holiday Live at huge CEC on 12/28 + a parking pass in the garage.
Section 104, Row H.
She paid $200 and is accepting reasonable offers since she cannot attend now.
Would make a great Christmas gift...
PM me if you want her contact info.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Finally had a chance to listen to Punk. I had to go through YouTube as it looks like Colt's servers weren't prepared for the huge amount of downloads. The Art of Wrestling shot all the way up to #2 across ALL podcasts over the weekend. Hopefully the server issue is fixed for the followup episode.
Obviously, a lot of the stuff Punk says looks real bad for WWE, but I was especially concerned about the lack of concussion protocol and the misdiagnosed staph infection. With the concussion stuff (having him come back too early, tests that don't necessarily work, wrestling through headaches), you would think WWE would've learned their lesson from Benoit. And now with the sad news of the OSU football player who took his own life, citing concussions "****ing up his head," I hope WWE sees that they need to be extremely cautious with concussions. I'm afraid it's going to take another suicide of an active WWE wrestler for them to take it seriously again.
Vince will be on Austin's podcast tonight after Raw on the Network. It'll be interesting to see if Punk is mentioned.

The WWE holiday tour is rollin thru town here in 2 weeks and I got hooked up with free tickets. Found out today that TLC is the very next night so not only is it some hick town house show, probably next to no one of interest will be there.

The main event will be something that makes no sense like Ryback vs Seth Rollins in a Pittsburgh street fight

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I went to RAW at CEC one year, 2 friggen weeks before WrestleMania and the main event was Orton vs. Rey Mysterio in like a WM Throwback or something because they wrestled each other at WM like 7 years before that. Now THAT was a main event that made no sense.SolidSnake wrote:The main event will be something that makes no sense like Ryback vs Seth Rollins in a Pittsburgh street fight

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Haha yea. Usually the face wins by DQ that way nobody looks bad. The main event will probably end up Swagger vs Rusev. Though it's free so it would be still cool to go

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Actually just talking about this to a friend and he said he's heard the opposite. They may often use the night before as a dry run. He heard Cena, Ziggler, Ambrose, Rollins, Wyatt and Rusev are scheduled. If I even get to see Lana up close at ringside...SolidSnake wrote:Haha yea. honestly, as long as Cena doesn't lead the crowd in a show ending round of "Country Roads" ...which he will, because he does it every single time he's here....I'd be happy.
