I saw them back in 2000 with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Good show. Short setlists, because each band was co-headlining, but excellent nonetheless. The new Foos lineup - triple guitar attack and keyboards - probably is even better live now.

Chili Peppers were good, but played a lot more Californication than I liked. Then again, that's the album they were touring for, so...

The closest they come to me - so far - is Philips Arena in Hotlanta. I hate going there, so we'll see. It's been too long, Foos.

The John Frusciante lead Red Hots were amazing live. I saw them 3 times during the Californication/By The Way era and god....so good. I miss John.....

Time to revisit a guilty pleasure. Sort of forgot about these guys for awhile but it's the new album from the latest project of the rapper/screamer and guitarist of late 90s/early 2000s rap metal GODS Reveille. This stuff's not as good but sort of refreshing considering rap metal is mostly dead now.

Unless it sells out before I get a ticket, i'll be going. I wonder if Dan Bejar will be there. If I know that either of him or Neko Case will be there when tickets go on sale, that would change my stance to a must go.

While I prefer most gangsta rappers at their most pissed, this song is just smooth as a dolphin. Scarface had a side to him most others like him couldn't match. His album "Last of a Dying Breed" was so utterly prophetic.
