He got off to easy. He should of been made a true example and given 25 games .

Should be suspended for life.
I read an interesting article (need to find the link again) that notes guys like Gillies are finding new life in the AHL. Basically because the NHL no longer wants guys like this, and the European leagues (with the exception of the KHL) are starting to ban these types of players.
