I would be shocked if @TheAHL doesn't suspend #AHLFlames LW Trevor Gillies for that violent attack on a defenseless William Carrier. #Amerks

#Amerks coach Chadd Cassidy on Trevor Gillies' actions: "If there's room for that in hockey, I'm not sure I want to coach anymore."
Dude should never be allowed to play hockey again. Not because what he did was on the level of a ban-able offense (we've all seen worse incidents), but because its obvious that his insanity is eventually going to result in something worse. He's a McSorley-Brashear, Bertuzzi-Moore, Hunter-Turgeon waiting to happen. I can't believe a team actually employs him.

I think his Eric Tangradi situation should almost be on that list.
I had a feeling he was going to take heat for what he said on facebook.
Its probably an empty post, but if he really feels that way and acts on it, then great. I don't see any reason for a negative reaction to him posting that though.
The American Hockey League today announced that Adirondack Flames left wing Trevor Gillies and Rochester Americans defenseman Nick Petrecki have each been suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed instigator penalties within the final five minutes of the third period of a game between the teams on Oct. 10, under the provisions of AHL Rule 46.22.
Any further supplemental discipline will be announced following the league’s official review of the game.
Gillies will miss Adirondack’s game tonight (Oct. 11) vs. Albany.
