I made it Smith. So far so good. Hopefully Iginla returns and I got 1 goal out of him in 1 game. I probably would have chosen Soderberg if I had known that he was going to fill in on the top line for Krejci. Sometimes the less you know, I guess...

Won my league figured goaltending would be my weakness except Lethonen Howard and Schneider went into beast mode when it counted

Haha. That's funny. I'm glad at least one league is done since I have him in all three. Getzlaf, OV, Bishop = Kraftster Kore

Came back to win in my biggest money league on the final day on the backs of strong late games from the unlikely trio of Mark Stone, Mikkel Boedker, and Ryan Kesler.

Won 2/3 and finished runner up in the other for the second year in a row (same results in same leagues too). I wish I could do this for a living.

Looking for some advice on keepers for the upcoming season. In my league we get to keep 1 goalie and 3 other players. I'm keeping Miller, Stamkos, and Subban. Opinions on my last keeper?

Nazem Kadri Tor - C
Roman Josi Nsh - D
Marek Zidlicky NJ - D
Steve Ott StL - C,LW

Ryan Miller Van - G
Chad Johnson NYI - G

I would keep Couture as the third. For me the decision would be between him and Parise, but it wouldnt really be a tough decision.

H2H categories listed? How many teams and how many do you start at each position?

It's very likely Parise, but I just want to make sure there's not anything goofy.

Yeah, H2H. We start C, C, LW, LW, RW, RW, D, D, D, D, G, G.

Parise seems like basically a ~25% better secondary stat version of Couture to me in that format. I'd go with him or Byfuglien (to start at D).

If +/- counts, I don't like keeping Byfuglien.

In a daily, i'd value a guy with multi position availability, but i guess it doesn't help as much in weekly. I'd probably go Parise.

In my biggest league, I have a crap ton of players on expired contracts, meaning I will lose them if I don't re-sign them. You only get a re-sign every other year. I have two re-signs. The biggest three expiring are Quick, Ovechkin, and Getzlaf. I've basically told the league that I will trade whichever guy I get the biggest offer for. So far it is apparent that I will simply be keeping Getzlaf. I am not receiving offers on him and he had more points than OV last year, albeit at center position. So, I'll likely be dealing one of Quick or OV.

Offers I have so far:

Drouin for Ovechkin - Drouin would have many years of control. 5-7 years if he shows he's worth it.
2015 1st and Huberdeau for Ovechkin - Not sure what to think of Huberdeau? The 2015 1st is not a great team, so it might be top 6, so... that's roughly..
2014 3rd and 2014 6th for Quick - pretty weak return, although this year's draft is stacked and 3.01 (the 3rd) would probably be worth Jakub Voracek-ish value.
2014 1st (1.06) for Quick + unidentified prospect - need to press this guy to get a formal offer from him.

Its a 12-team H2H points league. My other goalies are Lundqvist and Bishop. The other very obscure scenario is I could deal both OV and Quick and sign Getzlaf and Parise (another of my expiring players). I don't think that makes sense with these offers, though.

I might try to push to get that Drouin offer made for Quick instead of OV.

What scenario do you like?

The last deal would be pick 1.06. I think that pick would be worth Bennett/Reinhart, Spezza, Hossa, Pacioretty. Who likes Drouin more than those players?

Still unresolved on which of those three I'm trading, but I did make a trade tonight.

Henrik Lundqvist (2 years) + Ryan Murray (long time) for Brian Elliot (1 year) + Jake Allen (4 years) + Dougie Hamilton (4 years) + pick 3.04 (Voracek-ish value).

Rolling the dice on Allen getting at least a good portion of the gig by 2015, which makes me nervous, but I am high on Hamilton, who I think is probably 2 years ahead of Murray in fantasy value and on a much better team. Getting a Voracek caliber player for 3 years or so is huge with all of the players I lost this year.

Jake Allen is good, in my opinion. He'll start over Elliott pretty soon I gotta believe, as Elliott is not at all talented...

Well, traded OV + Quick tonight. Lundqvist, Quick, OV dealt in the past 24 hours. Yeesh.

So, I was losing one of the two for nothing without making a deal. So, in terms of the loss to my team, the deal looks like this:

Quick OV + 3.04 (Voracek) for 1.06 (Spezza/Pacioretty) + 1st next year + Palat + Parise (who I now keep instead of OV).

A good deal for how thin my team was looking after losing so many guys this year. I love Palat.

Overall deal got better. Was able to move a 5th for Schneider's rights and use my second re-sign on him.

Parise just went 1.01.

So who gets the other spot in the top six in Minnesota (Parise, Koivu, Pominville, Vanek, Granlund): Coyle or Nino?

How about Dallas (Benn, Seguin, Spezza, Hemsky, Nuke)?

Probably Coyle. Vanek and Parise are both LWs. Poms takes one RW spot. Nino is primarily a LW if I'm not mistaken, plus Coyle is still a little better than Nino at this point.

Not sure about Dallas. Peverly still being up in the air changes things a bit. I think smart money might be Brett Ritichie winning a spot, though I could conceivably see Cole there to start until someone outperforms him, since that would probably require less players playing on their off-wing.
