I don't understand how the WWE is so willfully ignorant of everyone's Cena-fatigue. They HAVE to know everyone is sick of him, right?

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Well they could have other superstars ready to take his place merchandise wise if they would take the time to actually build them up and not cut them off at the knees when they are threatening to Cena. Eventually at some point they are going to not have Cena around anymore and they are going to kick themselves when they have no one ready to take his place. Cena has had a longer run on top than Rock, Austin, or even Hogan. That's just crazy.Crankshaft wrote:That and the millions of kids and their parents who buy up all his merchandise.skullman80 wrote:Everyone but Vince is aware at this point I think.MalkinIsMyHomeboy wrote:I don't understand how the WWE is so willfully ignorant of everyone's Cena-fatigue. What would happen if Cena had a Daniel Bryan moment where he breaks his neck and then has possibly another surgery scheduled on top of that, possibly placing him with an indefinite future? Then who do you go to?skullman80 wrote:Well they could have other superstars ready to take his place merchandise wise if they would take the time to actually build them up and not cut them off at the knees when they are threatening to Cena. Bryan is out indefinitely, Punk is 99.9999999999% retired, Orton has had many chances to be the top guy but can't get the following. Rock only showed up 5-10 times a year on his last run and Brock Lesnar runs a very similar schedule. Batista almost seems like he won't be back on a full-time basis. You have the former members of the Shield, but does Vince/HHH trust them enough to be the top guy even for a short period?

I wouldn't be shocked if Batista never comes back to the WWE. He's a movie star now.

Or if he does come back it will be like the Rock when he has something to promote or for a Wrestlemania match.

I'm guessing he comes back for one final stint, goes out in a big match at Wrestlemania, and never returns.

Watching these Monday night wars episodes on the network really makes me realize how great the product used to be. It's a damn shame how bad it is now and knowing it will never get better just flat out sucks.

Competition. No competition makes for a bad product(most of the time).Cagsjr724 wrote:Watching these Monday night wars episodes on the network really makes me realize how great the product used to be. It's a damn shame how bad it is now and knowing it will never get better just flat out sucks.

It's also probably $9.99 to ship, making the shirt closer to $20.Spangler wrote:And here I expected the WWE to charge more than $9.99 for the shirt.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
in news that no one cares about because it involves indie stars, women's wrestling, and TNA, Jessicka Havok debuted on Impact last night, and debuted like a total f'ing beast. Laid out the Knockouts champ and no. 1 contender in the span of like 20 seconds. There aren't many 6' bruisers like her in women's wrestling, and I've been a fan of hers for a while now, so it's good to see her getting a shot on TV, even if it might not last for very long. I don't see her ever going to the WWE because she's not a 100lb fitness model type. But still, good for her.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
God I cannot stand watching a tag match with Cena in it. Every time. Every match. He runs along the apron back and forth like a monkey, screams, the over the top gestures the entire time, gets the final tag and its 5 moves of doom and the win, or everyone jumps in because Cena's dominating.
Every tag match he just jumps around kissing the crowds ass like "You see these guys?? You like them! I'm with them, cheer for me too!!"
