Just saw John Cooper Clarke perform a song on a movie I'm watching. Interesting.

Real Estate's Atlas really is a marvellous little album. It was released in March and even though I had not listened to it in months, it was always sort of in the back of my mind. I've been listening to it again recently and it really is a clever and quite brilliant work that, imo, will endure. No fancy stuff, not a note too many, it's like a simple meal prepared by a top chef. Top notch.

Fair warning: video contains facial hair and glasses, which may disturb some of yinz. Not to mention a Rangers t-shirt.

This is definitely one of my favorite albums of the year. I liked their first album but this one doesn't seem to have a weak song. The lead guitar player isn't flashy at all, the way he weaves his lead lines throughout a song is great.

Something I stumbled on about two weeks ago...it quickly jumped to the top of my favorite new albums. Highly recommended. They do an awesome job of story-telling; I absolutely love the Space theme. The band reminds me a lot of Red, but better; they also site Breaking Benjamin as an inspiration.

Starset "Transmissions"

You may have caught the single "My Demons" on alternative rock stations that aren't 105.9.

New Order are working on a new album with James Murphy. But without Peter Hook, so meh.

Yes (the band)

Underrated? I think so. Roundabout is perfection.

I agree - prog rock is lamented by rock "purists" and rock journalists alike. See Also: Rush and Genesis (pre Phil Collins lead vocalist).

Chris Squire is one of rock's best and most distinctive bass players, and I put him up there with John Entwhistle, Jack Bruce, and John Paul Jones.

Absolutely underrated. Roundabout is truly an inspired piece, I absolutely love the bass. It's my second favorite Yes song after:

Just a touch too intelligent/artsy for the mainstream...

Oooh, Gaucho's favorite band. :)

Yes at their apex:

Edit: Yes would have been much better without Rick Wakeman. For the most part, what a bore.
