Hmm. I guess its possible that if you are back at the bar upstairs you can't see but standing at the railings there are no problems.

The Fixx seems like an unnecessary event.

Metropol/Club Zoo jammed in 1,200 for Deftones few years back. I love that place...intimate to where Chino was 10 feet away and I dig the balcony.

I like seeing bands where only a vocal pa is really needed.

Metropol's sound system was complete dump though. It was often near impossible to hear vocals, and if you got pushed too far to either side, you would be greeted by a wall of bass coming off of the speakers.

Or at least that was largely my experience, anyway.

My most recent intimate experience was Frank Hoier of Crushed Out playing the slide guitar on my feet at the front of a crowd of 8 lol.

how is the parking for Altar Bar? The one thing I have heard people talk about was having to hike a long distance after a show in the strip late at night while not exactly feeling safe.

Any truth to this?

I'll take your Winger and raise you with Bullet Boys at the Ace's (about 4 blocks from my old house) next month in J-town.

I imagine if you want to find a spot on penn you have to go down a number of block. There are also several pay lots close to there between penn and smallman. not sure what that would cost.

Now you are talking. I'm currently going through a rough patch where my old jean cutoffs don't fit, I've taken off work Monday to peruse goodwills in search of a really trashy pair of jeans that I can cut up to remedy my current feeling of despair.

My Fathers Day present was picking out some new old vinyl- finally got atound to it. For fishing expeditions I love Jerry's records but for stuff that is guaranteed to play nice I go to a store called Trax on Wax in Baltimore.

Picked up 2 Steely Dan albums- Can't Buy a Thrill and Pretzel Logic

Gary Wright- The Dream Weaver ( first ever mainstream album where all keyboards are synths)

Al Stewart- Year of the Cat

Dave Brubeck Quartet- Jackpot ( live in Vegas)

Unusual amount of 70s rock for me. I usually go more 50s and early 60s jazz.

My Steely collection is almost complete.

Listening to some Bach cello concertos while reading as we speak.

That sleaford mods is unique. I've listened to that album a few times....can't really articulate a full impression of it yet

Bach is probably my favorite classical composer.

A 29 minute version of "Suicide?" Yes, please.
