I had to check to make sure that the Flyers actually traded Scott Hartnell.

Nice deal for both. Schenn can either blossom or stay the same. Still lots of questions in Flyernation.mikey287 wrote:Good bridge deal. Very good deal for both parties.Kovy27 wrote:Flyers re-sign Brayden Schenn to 2-year $5M deal.

Seriously.. you think our FO had issues. That team is beyond depleted on all fronts.SolidSnake wrote:lolz only in flyerlandKovy27 wrote:June 23rd, 2011 - The Flyers trade Mike Richards and Jeff Carter

Hartnell is a nice pick up for that team. They have a ton of sandpaper, and not the kind you find on the 4th line. They really did just get tougher to play against.

Who would have thought. Hextall with brash comments. I wish we landed Hartnell contract implications aside.

A Columbus blogger tweeted Hartnell asked if he could introduce Columbus at the Draft this weekend...in Philly.
I so hope this is true.

In other words. He's what Kunitz should be but doesn't have the size of Hartnell lol.Lt. Dish wrote:Yes and no for me. Malone officially in the process of being bought out. Maybe daddy can save his career.
And Stastny going to UFA. I doubt Colorado will be able to match the offers he's gonna receive.

I would not be surprised if Stastny ends up in St Louis or Anaheim. This news hurts Spezza and Kesler trade value, at this point.ville5 wrote:Malone officially in the process of being bought out. Maybe daddy can save his career.

Re: Non-Penguins Offseason Moves 2014
I'd invite Malone to camp to try to get a 4th line spot. If he can get his legs back he would be better than the crap we have brought in the last 4 years at least.
Callahan rumored to be resigning with TB for $5.5 over 5 years. That seems low unless his agent did the math and with no state income tax he's OK taking a little less there. Cost of living calculators show he would need about $7.5 million comparable in NY.

I'm sorry, I wouldn't touch Malone with a 50 foot pole. We don't need anymore drama on this team than we already have.DelPen wrote:I'd invite Malone to camp to try to get a 4th line spot. If he can get his legs back he would be better than the crap we have brought in the last 4 years at least.

Ouch.@GMillerTSN 1m
NY got St. Louis with TB's 2nd rd pick in 2015. TB got Callahan, the Rangers 1st rd round picks in 2014 and 2015 and a 7th in 2015.
