I ordered the ROH Best in the World ppv and my god when it comes to wrestling, WWE isn't in the same league as ROH. Every match was entertaining.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
yeah, the workrate in the indies is worlds better. that's what happens when you get guys with a lot of skill and give every match at least 10-15 minutes.Cagsjr724 wrote:I ordered the ROH Best in the World ppv and my god when it comes to wrestling, WWE isn't in the same league as ROH. 2 of my favorite guys in the world were on that card. ACH, who won the opener, is probably a future WWE guy. i see that potential in him. And Kyle O'Reily is my 2nd or 3rd favorite wrestler in the world at the moment. He's another guy i could see hitting the big time. him vs Daniel Bryan would probably be my current dream match up.
I was kind of pissed to see Michael Elgin win the title, though. I really don't like him. I mean, he's good... REALLY good... he might actually be TOO good where it gets to be problematic booking him. I think that's my problem with him. he's so good that no one should realistically be able to ever beat him, and that's boring to me. he's like an unbalanced boss in a video game, or something.

Kevin Steen impressed the hell out of me. I think he is heading to NXT. ACH is awesome. The Briscos are the best tag team in the business imo. How the hell did these guys not have a try out with WWE yet??

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Why are they a PR nightmare? I don't know much about them. I just started watching ROH a couple months ago so I'm not real familiar with a lot of these guys. Matt Hardy can GTFO lol. I hate that has been.Froggy wrote:the briscoes are a PR nightmare.Cagsjr724 wrote:Kevin Steen impressed the hell out of me. I think he is heading to NXT. ach is awesome. Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
The ROH PPV was ok. Their production values are still god awful. The lighting during the PPV.. yeesh. I mean I Know its in an indie company, but still no excuse. ECW in 1996 had better production values then ROH did last night.
Anyhow the PPV was ok. There was some good stuff there, but nothing really stood out. They are far removed from their glory days, but still put on a good show most of the time since they have guys that can work. I'm excited to see what Steen can do in WWE once he gets there.

Not really, no.
Vicki is fighting steph tonight with her job on the line.
Harper beat one of the Uso's in an ok match
Then the other Uso beat Rowan...
Then they beat each other up... Tag match at PPV.. blah blah.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
Ambrose Rules. He pulls off psycho so well while still being a face. Also really digging Rollins as the heel. Wasn't too sure when they set it up that way, thought initially they should have swapped places, but this works.
RVD has been mailing it in since he came back this most recent time. I mean he's always been hit and miss, but he at least put forth an effort tonight, and Rollins helped that match quite a bit. I never noticed how much RVD botched stuff until I went back and looked at some of his older stuff.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread
I watched an interview of him one time, and he said he doesn't like to go over spots with other guys. He prefers to improvise his matches by reading the other guy's movements. I'm surprised his matches aren't disasters.skullman80 wrote:RVD has been mailing it in since he came back this most recent time.
