That Arctic Monkeys song has really grown on me. I hear it often on Canadian radio, and didn't really care for it at first.

That AM song reminds me of something QOTSA would put out.

I have always been a fan of that particular Pearl Jam song. I like media that peers into the ugly side of humanity. I find it very fascinating and not to mention I love the art style of the music video.

As for the Arctic Monkeys song. I can't get it out of my head and I love the art style of the music video as well. That animation is awesome.

People really pay that much to go VIP at these festivals? What a waste.

Yep.

I don't think they've played that in over 20 years. Here's one from Japan, 1990

Apparently, some people just aren't into Macaulay Culkin's Velvet Underground tribute act the Pizza Underground. During their set at Dot to Dot Festival in Nottingham, as Nottingham Post reports (via Stereogum), the band got pelted with beer and booed off the stage.
Apparently, the band only performed their version of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day"—theirs is called "Pizza Day", of course—before they walked off. "Why are you throwing those," Culkin asked the crowd. "I’d rather drink them!" When the audience didn't let up, he stopped the show, saying, "That's the end of the show, goodnight."

All of these songs are over a decade old:

What in the world happened to Sean Paul (not that I'm complaining)?

Ended up getting tickets to the Man Man (Brand New) show at Stage AE after all. Should I stick around for Brand New?

They aren't anything that interesting. I used to like one of their songs, "quiet things that no one ever knows" I think it was called. I would just pull it up on spotify and give a quick listen. It's not a band that has some underlying quality that would make them worth seeing or giving them more attention than the initial yay or nay immediate response.

That is about what I figured. I've been trying to figure out the hype that seems to follow them from what seems to be a really loyal legion of fans. They are playing with Man Man and Modest Mouse this summer, and I just don't see the fit with either.

Anyone into this band Pickwick? Sort of a Black Keys meets Cold War Kids sort of sound. Nothing lifechanging but pretty listenable.

Iggy Azalea- I'm so fancy. Who they trying to kid? Bring back '88? What the Milli Vanilli scandal? Ain't no way no how that's a white girl singing. Might be a white girl in the video and on stage. But it's definitely a sister singing the song.

It's terrible enough to be definitely a white girl.

White girl lip syncing you mean? ;) And I didn't say it was a good song lol. Just wait til you have a teen aged daughter. You too will get to listen to 1 direction, big time rush etc... Whether you want to or not.

My 8 and 5 year old sons, while usually having decent taste in music, have got the sax intro to "Problem" stuck in my head (song also features Iggy Azalea).
