Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
You ain't lyin'...funny response by I40 though in retrospect. If I'm not mistaken, the first four shot attempts of the game were: post, goal, save, goal. Or close to it. Then Khudobin slammed the door and the Staals brought the goal support...

I'm sure the one time I sit Quick I'll get burned, but F. Anderson and Luongo just seem like the logical choices for tonight.

Yeah, early in the week, the Oilers are a feckless bunch of boys...
That said, when the quality of hockey worsens, the score usually increases...how's the rest of your week looking? Careful with goalies that are Olympic-bound, they might get a half-day of school before the winter break here...

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
Are they really? Do you have a record breakdown of sorts for them in terms of win-loss, goal differential for different times in the week? I'd be interested in seeing that if so.mikey287 wrote:Yeah, early in the week, the Oilers are a feckless bunch of boys...

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
Just got offered this trade.
I get: C. Franson, O. Pavelec, and C. Ward
He gets: P.K. Subban
I pretty much have to take this, right? My goalies have been terrible this year. I currently have Miller, Brodeur, Gustavsson, and Statlock. 12 person league, 2 starting goalie system/minimum 5 starts per week.

Is Pavelec going to give you better stats than you can get off of waivers?

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
Pobably. It's a 12 person keeper league with two goalies starting. Each team carries at least 3-4 goalies so there's not much out there.Idoit40fans wrote:Is Pavelec going to give you better stats than you can get off of waivers?

Do you have room to take on 2 extra players or are you dropping people?

What stats does the league count? That looks like classic quantity over quality offer to me. My immediate reaction is no way I'd take that.

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
Neuvirth stinks. Nabby is toast if the Caps get a power play. So that middle one, the one with the three good goalies in it would be the one I'd roll with...

Right now I'm having a hard time reaching the 5 start minimum with the crap I have.

I did a horrible job of explaining that with all of the overlap. That was meant to be pick two in each of my three leagues.mikey287 wrote:Neuvirth stinks. Nabby is toast if the Caps get a power play. So that middle one, the one with the three good goalies in it would be the one I'd roll with...

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
What a strange format. 5 start minimum in a 12 team league is really harsh, far too harsh, in my opinion, when you have 6 goalie cats.Nuge wrote:G A P PIM PPG PPA PPP SHG SHA SHP SOG HIT W GA GAA SV SV% SHOKraftster wrote:What stats does the league count? The fact that saves is a category makes a quantity goalie deal a bit more attractive, but not by a whole lot.
I don't know, hits as a category certainly helps Franson, but I would still think you can get better than Pavelec/Ward. That's one of the worst pair of options out there right now.

In that case, they were ordered correctly 1, 2, 3 in each set...

There shouldn't be any reason you don't play Bobrovsky in League 2. Kings can't score.
