I know this girl with pink hair and studs in her face who listens to all this Gothic metal and rock. Some of it is seriously cool. I'm not as familiar with the stuff as I'd like to be, admittedly.

I really like this stuff. Takes some imagination to come up with this kind of music.

Mötley Crüe calls it quits, announces final tour with contract that states this will truly be their final tour.
US rock icons Mötley Crüe have confirmed their retirement after over 30 years as one of rock n' roll's most enduring bands.

The band - who recorded a string of rock anthems such as Kickstart My Heart and Girls Girls Girls - announced the news earlier today at a Hollywood press event, dubbed RIP: All Bad Things Must Come To An End.

Before bowing out for good, singer Vince Neil, guitarists Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars, and drummer Tommy Lee, revealed that they will hit the road for one final massive farewell world tour, more than 60 dates, enlisting fellow Detroit rock legend Alice Cooper as a Special Guest on the trek. This will be the first time the two acts have ever toured together.

While Crüe will keep the option of holding one-off reunion shows open, the band have insisted that their farewell tour will a final tour and they won't hold multiple farewell tours.

Gateway grad, Jasiri x with a heck of a powerful political song. It's rap, but kind of reminds me of Rage Against the Machine.

they wasted no time announcing the tour sched. From what Neil was saying, this tour might last "at least two years", possibly more.

It's still 1983 in many areas of Pittsburgh, so it seems like a natural fit.

I played some songs from "39/Smooth" on my radio show when it came out, but never gave it much thought in relation to a scad of similar bands.
On a commercial level, I was incorrect.
