I wonder if Gerry Rafferty felt the same way about Baker Street?

I got and still get the biggest kick out of Phil. His rants during concerts were great. Josh from Queens does that sometimes as well.

No matter how much time passes between then and now, I will always think first and foremost of "Stuck In The Middle" and Reservoir Dogs.

Baker Street is one of those songs I distinctly remember hearing on the radio while growing up.

Ha! My mom was a big Janis Joplin fan, I remember she would play her records, and my Dad had all these jazz records, Chuck Mangione being just about the only one I remember.
I wonder if my kids will remember me playing stuff like sonic youth or dinosaur jr?

He could be pretty amusing... especially if you ever heard his cure for a sore throat. :pop:

But the bait and switch with Cemetery Gates was just cruel.

I watched Phil turn a entire crowd against a kid in a Korn shirt. It was in Pittsburgh during the reinventing the steel tour. Pantera was a hell of a show, glad i was safe in the seats and not on the floor.

I wish they would have used more of Waiting Room for the Nowhere to Wait instead of using it for about 40 seconds at the end.

So a few years back I bought an iPod and proceeded to load a fairly substantial music collection off CD and vinyl.

In the process I noticed that my then g/f's son had a Blink-182 CD laying around so I encoded that one as well.

Fast forward 5 years and here I am in a rental car using that playlist on random. On comes "The Grandpa Song".

Holy heck, am I glad that I didn't have the customer in the car with me. Those might just be the most inappropriate lyrics that I've ever heard.

So in tunneling through the YouTube rabbit hole, I discovered a channel called The Beatles Vocal Harmony. It's run by an Italian dude who is a luthier (guitar fixer upper person) and member of a Beatles tribute band. They've done a series of videos that are tutorials on how to sing all the vocal parts (melody and harmony) of a bunch of Beatles songs.

Here's a bit where the band shows how to sing "I Feel Fine", including some a capella work that's actually quite good. (Keeping in m ind that they're Italian and singing in a second language)

This stuff fascinates me, watching how hardcore people get in expressing their love of music. I follow a dude on YouTube from Japan called Shinuno, who does Extreme and Nuno Bettencourt songs. Cuts his hair like Nuno, paints his nails black like Nuno, plays a Washburn N4 (Nuno signature series) guitar..... I think it's incredible.

That's not the song that I thought it was, but yeah that's not really something you want customers to hear.
