lolwut.
here's the closest thing I can find to it.
David Fricke: Along with everything else that went wrong onstage tonight, you left without playing "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Why?

Kurt Cobain: That would have been the icing on the cake [smiles grimly]. That would have made everything twice as worse. I don’t even remember the guitar solo on "Teen Spirit" It would take me five minutes to sit in the catering room and learn the solo. But I'm not interested in that kind of stuff. I don’t know if that’s so lazy that I don’t care anymore or what. I still like playing "Teen Spirit," but it’s almost an embarrassment to play it.
So is he saying that he could play it if he wanted to, but was too lazy to re-learn it?

I think he was in some way disgusted with that song and the success it brought to them. He was obviously not in the music business to be rich and famous. Much like that video I posted on Random Songs of Chumbawamba mocking their success by wearing "One Hit Wonder", etc emblazoned on their shirts while playing their hit song on The Tonight Show. Some on here might not understand it but there are many that don't want fame and fortune and I believe he was clearly one of those people.

Man... just made a Ray Lamontagne pandora station. Very easy listening/background music to get me through the day.

My girl Brandi Carlile said, "I truly believe Ray LaMontagne is the voice of our generation." Not sure about that, but I like listening to Ray also. You should check out BC's cover of "Burn" -- amazing.

:thumb: I'll check that out. I'm a little biased towards Ray as "you are the best thing" was our first dance at our wedding.

One Hot Minute is a vastly underated album. Dave Navaro got a good album out of the Chili Peppers.

John Bonham is overated
Ginger Baker is underated
Foxboro Hottubs > Green Day
Lady Gaga will be more loved and remebered than Madonna
What if the The Clarks missed the penny on the floor?
Metallica should ask Jason to come back for his backing vocals alone
The dude is right....the Eagles suck
Doll-Dagga-Buzz-Buzz-Ziggety-Zag
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes need to play another SkyBlast
If Peace Sells....who is buying?
I cant to see Justin Beiber on VH1s Where are they now in 5 years
Fat Mike isnt that fat
Chester needs to stay away from Stone Temple Pilots
Joey Ramone is still dead :(
Read the lyrics to The Vampyre of Time and Memories by QOTSA and not come away sad.
Jack Johnson should stick to guitars that dont plug in

John Bonham and Ginger Baker are overrated at what?

Lady Gaga, through no fault of her own, has no chance in hell to be more loved and remembered than Madonna.

Thom Yorke from Radiohead is like that about "Creep". He called it a 'fridge buzz', meaning little more than background noise. But he understands that fans want to hear it live. So they play it..... he just refuses to sing it. Which seems dooshy.

(That was 10-12 years ago, he might be alright with it now)
