I can't take mustaines voice for more than 5 minutes at a time. Musically I love Megadeth, but when Mustaine opens his mouth it just ends for me.

Re: Let's talk about music
I'm not sure if this has already been posted, but there's a cool little page where you can create your own all-time music festival lineup (using a Coachella template). As I was zooming through iTunes this afternoon I jotted mine down. Other than headliners and Subheadliners, the undercards were in no particular order of fame. The rules are you can take any act of any era (they are assumed to be from the era at the height of their popularity). Coachella mixes in a few comedy acts also.
Here's mine without a ton of thought put in it. Not necessarily my favorite acts, but acts I would like to see live, at the peak of their powers. (note I reserve the right to change mine at any time, as I keep listening to iTunes
):

Re: Let's talk about music
I've always heard about Big Black but never listed to them. Pulled them up on wiki and never knew their background. 2/3 of the band went on to form Naked Raygun and their lead singer went to be a producer for a few bands you might have heard of (Helmet, Breeders, Pixies, and Nirvana's "Nevermind")columbia wrote:

Id drop serious coin on that lineup.Ben Klingston wrote:I'm not sure if this has already been posted, but there's a cool little page where you can create your own all-time music festival lineup (using a Coachella template). Re: Let's talk about music
When Nirvana broke big in the fall of 1991 they went from playing small clubs to arenas overnight. Say what you will about their talent, but they were the biggest thing in music from 91-94, and I anxiously await another rock band to hit as big as they did.

I'm not sure if you'd call what they played arenas. When I saw one of their last shows, they were still playing college halls that held maybe 4k.viva la ben wrote:When Nirvana broke big in the fall of 1991 they went from playing small clubs to arenas overnight. I saw Nirvana in 1991 and didn't care, because I was waiting for Dinosaur and Bob Mould and Sonic Youth. ![Embarassed ](./images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)

I've read things that Cobain wanted J Mascis to be the drummer before Grohl.

I remember getting punched in the face during Radio Friendly. One verse into the song, I get shoved from behind and another dude just dropped me.FreeCandy44 wrote:So jealous you saw Nirvana...do you remember any details about the show?
![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
I think I posted the story of how I ended up getting into the show sans ticket earlier in this thread. I ended up missing the two opening bands, which were the Breeders and Half Japanese.

The one thing that surprised me about the show was no "Teen Spirit". Found out later that it was because Kurt couldn't remember how to play the solo.

The Breeders are better than both the Pixies and Nirvana.

His comment of "wait, wait, wait....you do this....at a concert....for fun?" still makes me laugh.

I'm more interested in Half Japanese. I never had a chance to see them.
