Giroux? Sounds like he could be the next man up if an injury replacement is necessary. Staal, Thornton, St. Louis, and Hall are the only real 'snubs' IMO. Everyone else has played they way off the team -- Fleury included -- and I'm not surprised Stevie Y went with a younger defensive corps.

Almost positive Giroux didn't make the short list of reserve players. It will be St. Louis, E. Staal, or Neal.

Almost positive Giroux didn't make the short list of reserve players. It will be St. Louis, E. Staal, or Neal.

Giroux was reportedly the 1st AE forward after the roster was announced. Fleury held that position for goalies, and I don't know who it was for defense - but they basically had a backup guy at each position who they told to be ready in case they're needed.

Yes. Little Louis would be my #3 forward choice for Team Canada. Crosby, Toews, St Louis, then Tavares and Getzlaf and on.

Kunitz-Crosby-Carter practicing as top line, not sure I like Carter on that line. We'll see if Babcock sticks with that going into their first game.
