So, is it too early for a buyer to roll the dice on acquiring Josh Harding? I'm toying with the idea of trying to replace Anderson with Harding as an upgrade and moving some young pieces in the deal.
I don't know about Harding, but its definitely a good time to replace Anderson. I took a gamble in the redraft league that his luck would continue for another year, but I wasn't surprised that it hasn't. I don't think he's that good of a goalie. Lehner will probably not yield the starting job to him again.
The Sens are playing pretty poorly right now. Nothing like the defensive team they were last year. Neither goalie is a great option this year. But, I knew Lehner's time was coming, and I had been trying to acquire him since I acquired Anderson last year (and even before that). At this point, I can't do that without giving up a whole lot.
Harding, because of the MS situation, should be quite affordable for a goalie having the year that he's having. If I could do it without giving up any major assets, I wouldn't think twice, but I think I'll have to include one nice piece. The Harding owner is in a full rebuild. He'd be getting less now than he could at the deadline if Harding continues to be a top goalie option, but the tradeoff here is, of course, he should take less for him now because you never know when something is going to happen with the MS and better to get something than potentially nothing.
Gustavsson or Luongo tomorrow (or today, depending on when you read this).
I'm pretty torn on this. Can see arguments for both. Generally if it's a wash I'll play the goaltender the Pens are going against because if he gets lit up, then hey, whatever, the Pens won, but if we lose, then at least I got something from it on a personal level.
Of course, if Scrivens doesn't get the start tomorrow this is all moot. I know Sutter likes to go with the hot hand, but you'd figure you'd want your "hot" goalie up against Chicago, not Ottawa.
My instinct was Kari, so. I picked Reimer. I have been picking wro lately so i went the opposite of my instinct. I cant wven trick myself haha. Fortunately Martin Jones was the other guy. Im probably going to win all goalie categories for the week and actually im leadig all categories period.
Oh, well, that's fortunate. Martin Jones is getting done big time. The last two or three weeks, I've been bricking out on goalie picks myself...usually this means I have to rearrange the order of the jerseys I have hanging on my wall...
Hahaha. I intended to rebuild this year so aside from quick and lehtonen i took both reimer and lehner, hoping thy would each win. Having those fringe starters on bad teams is a great situation to make bad calls a lot. If the sens start playing well i can just forget about Reimer because I think Lehner will win that job for good this year.

Update: perfect week in fantasy 10-0-0. My gaffes went unpunished.
They've both struggled at times this year (Voracek early, Semin with injury). They both had excellent seasons last year. Last year Semin outperformed Voracek.
I can't conceive of any league format where a straight up swap of these players leaves either side "hosed." I tend to think Semin has higher upside but higher flight risk going forward (either player would be kept).
I'd rather have Voracek, but I think Semin will pick it up...but this year, definitely rather have Scoreachek...he plays with Giroux, they have good chemistry, it's a good fit and they are counted on for offense on a fairly weak club offensively...Semin, is more of a wildcard...higher upside, but, you don't know what you're gonna get...with him or the Hurricanes in general...
I can't decide if i should start Reimer or Lehtonen. I don't mean one or the other, they're my only two starters. I just fear that I may be better off starting no one.
