Did anyone else hear about how Arcade Fire is requiring fans to dress up or wear a costume in order to attend their upcoming concert tour?

Not requiring... just strongly suggesting and hoping.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:Did anyone else hear about how Arcade Fire is requiring fans to dress up or wear a costume in order to attend their upcoming concert tour?

I'd wear a Slayer t-shirt.....and little else.
Actually, I wouldn't be caught dead at one of their shows.

I've seen them live like 3 times though.. so I can at least say I've seen them. They put on one of the best live shows ever.

My favorite comment:
Justin Apone · Associates of Science degree in Recording Arts
Im a Audio Engineer and I can tell you right now thats now what that is. ITs a simple church choir with a couple of tracks of actual crickets at normal speed. Its a hoax!

Looks to be real. I searched Snopes and did some Google searches and didn't find any indications of fraud. Instead I found many similar posts dated a couple years ago. Here is an interesting webpage from 2011.skullman80 wrote:I think that's fake.

Re: Let's talk about music
The lack of Dave Lombardo in the lineup deterred me from buying a ticket when they were released. I had planned on going down to grab a scalper ticket but thought the show was on a Friday.Gaucho wrote:So Slayer played and none of yinz was there? Pathetic effort, gentlemen.
Oh well, they'll be back. They always come back.

I've been on a big folk kick lately... lumineers, old crow medicine show, etc. I found this from a UK show. Thought it was fantastic:

Re: Let's talk about music
I can't log onto Facebook at the moment, but they just had a post on there two or three days ago stating that it was a hopeful suggestion and not an actual enforceable requirement.Gaucho wrote:http://www.stereogum.com/1570761/is-it- ... erts/news/legame wrote:Not requiring... just strongly suggesting and hoping.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:Did anyone else hear about how Arcade Fire is requiring fans to dress up or wear a costume in order to attend their upcoming concert tour?

Re: Let's talk about music
That sounds like a bit of backpedaling on their part especially since the word MANDATORY was used more than once.
