Park Avenue is my favorite song. It kinda sounds a bit Rage Against the Machine-esque..
I remember Girls vs Boys from the original Clerks. Had no idea they were still recording 20 years later.
At first glance, I thought you guys were talking about Blur's Parklife, and it didn't compute.

girl electro pop. it's listenable, i'll mix in Recover and the Mother We Share into some of my Ipod playlists. It's sort of a low ceiling style, but it has it's place.

Speaking of girl electro pop, and this could be a bit of a reach as I don't know anything outside of one song, I dig that song that's on the radio by Lorde. Royals I think it is.

Gaucho sort of likes them, but at the same time can't help but agree with both columbia and Troy Loney.

This website made Gaucho smile, though: http://****.tumblr.com/

Speaking of grunge, I love Staind's cover of Nutshell off their greatest hits album.

Alice in Chains technically started out as a hair metal band. True story.....

I never considered AIC grunge. They were too good for that label. They were just a damn good rock band.

is this hipster music, because I'll destroy cds right now? I'm about 99% unfamiliar with music past 1992, but had heard a few of these songs and thought of them as more folky? I'm a little embarrassed now.
This whole sequence made me lol while reading it. I understand the concern, but if you like music, you like music... don't worry about it, dude. I'm sure you have gone to a concert before and saw people that you don't associate yourself with, but you were all enjoying the same music. You can like a band that is made up of headbangers, hipsters, emos, and not be one of them. You can like a band or a song that is enjoyed by one of those groups of people and not be one of them yourself. In my opinion, it's kind of like enjoying watching a snazzy Caps or Flyers goal highlight, as a hockey fan. I appreciate the play, but I don't consider myself a d-bag like Ovie/Rinaldo, or the Caps/Flyers fans.

In honor of the Breaking Bad series finale, which was, simply perfect.
Spoiler:
Following in the great tradition of great series' final scene songs... this one is up there, maybe at the top.

That's a very good album. The King is Dead is also a very good one.
