legame, got any alt/indie-pop recommendations for me? Picked up the first two Old Ceremony albums earlier in the year (good stuff) and recently got into Jukebox the Ghost.
I'd have to think about bands for a bit. I'm in my prep period at school at the moment and will definitely post some stuff tonight. I've been on a heavy Yep Roc/trekky/Merge (all NC labels) kick again lately. I can Dropbox you the first and newest Love Language records if you like that song. The Old Ceremony are one of my favorite Chapel Hill bands, but their lead singer Django Haskins is one of the most pompous turdburglers I've ever met.

he just doesn't seem to like the genre.

It was easily the best produced show I've ever seen, and the sound was 10x better than any other concert I've been to.

I saw Muse in Ohio last year and definitely agree that it looks and sounds awesome.

The Muse show last night was heavy on the newer albums which imo aren't as good as the older ones. That being said I still thought it was awesome concert. Definitely disappointed I didn't get to hear older songs like "New Born", "Plug in Baby", "Hysteria", and "Stockholm Syndrome".

I don't think there is a genre that Muse fits into. They got way too much stuff going on.

Sweet, thanks man. Absolutely no rush, take your time.

And that's funny, haha. Guess that was one of the many reasons International Orange didn't last too long.

I enjoy hip hop from time to time... Eminem just released a new video today. It's called Berzerk. I'd link it, but it's obviously nsfw. I'm enjoying it.

truth, although drummer Paul Bostaph did play in Slayer for 10 years.

That said, Bostaph isn't 1/10th of the drummer that Lombardo is.

OK music experts, I heard a song today on WYEP where a woman was singing and I believe the chorus was Nobody Loves Me. It was earthy and slower paced but I loved it. Anyone know this song? I wish I could give you more info.

Edit

The song is called Sour Times by Portishead. It is amazing....

So why aren't you going? It's not because of traffic concerns or something silly like that is it?

Solo Johnny Marr album released a few months ago. Not sure how I missed this, but so far it's not too bad.

Well parking and traffic certainly didn't help matters. It basically came down to I could either go to Queens or Pearl Jam. And as much as I WORSHIP Queens, Pearl Jam wins. Work also influenced my decision a lot, but seriously.....there is a Pitt game at like 1pm, Queens open doors at 6pm, and there is a sold out Pirates game involving fireworks. Its going to be a fiasco trying to park and whatnot.
