It seems to have something to do with New Order.

Overall decent new Avenged Sevenfold album. I'd rate it about as good as the self-titled album they put out, which isn't a bad thing. I still like City of Evil and Nightmare better.

Favorites off Hail to the King:

Shepherd of Fire
Hail to the King
Doing Time
Heretic

Everything else....pretty cool but nothing i can really jam to.

No Rev = not interested

Big fan of sounding the 7th and Walking the fallen though, as well as some of City and Self.

I think this album they wanted the drums simplified so as not to feel like a Rev replacement. As a drummer, it's kind of disappointing, because Nightmare had some pretty great drum tracks.

Heading to Mumford & Sons at Starlake tonight. Haven't been to a show out there in a few years. Have heard good things about their live shows and caught them streaming at Bonnarroo a few years ago, it looked pretty high energy. Looking forward to the show, but not the seventh circle of hell that is post-concert parking lot and exit at Starlake. Unfortunately, can't have a post-show tailgate while the madness thins out tonight as a few others have to be up for work the next morning.

VIP parking + a mad dash to the car as soon as the last song starts is how my ex wife and I used to do it.

I can't leave until the last song ends, just like I can't leave a Pens game even if it is a blowout. Might be the smart thing to do, but just not in my DNA.

I once sat in a 1.5 traffic jam there after an ozzfest. So not a good time. I still think VIP parking helps.

Hmmm, may have to try VIP. I can't remember - do they charge to park in non-VIP (regular) parking out there?

This is a couple years old, but it's a good illustration why New Orleans is possibly the coolest city in the U.S.

They're on the riverfront steps at Jackson Square, next to the original Cafe du Monde location on Decatur.

If I recall correctly, the price of the ticket includes the parking fee.

Just finished watching the VMA. I've seen every episode of Hanna Montana multiple times and was expecting something much worse reading/seeing the reaction. Nothing here.....

Otherwise it was not too exciting. Bruno Mars was the only interesting act with his song that was reminiscent of:

Drinking wine and listening to Alice in Chains - Dirt and Temple of the Dog, such quality albums.

I like the Mott the Hoople version better. Which is kinda weird because Bowie wrote the song but both versions are very different.

don't knock it before you hear it. It's surprisingly decent.
Spoiler:
just kidding, It's an April Fools' joke from 2009. Looks pretty legit though.

I would probably pay to hear "Laid, paid and played (featuring fergie of the black eyed peas and al jourgensen)"

Chris Cornell made an album with Timbaland. And sadly it wasn't a joke.
