Re: George R.R. Martin
How are they going to do book 4 and 5 for HBO? Theres no way they would do 2 seasons of book 4 and ignore all the characters prominent now would they?

They will combine the 2 I imagine since you more or less had 2 concurrent story lines.

they better, I'm not sure if ratings would stay where they are now for 2 seasons of book 4.the wicked child wrote:They will combine the 2 I imagine since you more or less had 2 concurrent story lines.

Re: George R.R. Martin
You could easily get three seasons out of books 4 and 5. Actually, you could probably get 5 or 6 seasons out of 3-5 with some more thought to pacing. There are a few good natural breaks you could insert.
Looking at the episode titles for Season 3 they definitely split Storm of Swords in half which explains...

I was just thinking about how angry I would have been had I read these books as they came out and after waiting years for the resolutions to some of the storylines in Storm of Swords; Feast for Crows comes out. You would have been waiting the better part of a decade for some answers. I think I would have been too mad to continue.

I didn't wait and it took a lot for me to want to continue. I'm still half way through book 5 and I've had it since it came out.GaryRissling wrote:I was just thinking about how angry I would have been had I read these books as they came out and after waiting years for the resolutions to some of the storylines in Storm of Swords; Feast for Crows comes out. Adams is their leading scorer today in spite of their complete unwillingness to pass the ball to him. Speaks to how awful everyone else has been.

I'm glad I started reading the books now. By the time I get through book 5, book 6 should be out.

Every time I see this thread get bumped to the top of the board, I open it up to see if Martin died and ruined millions of lives in the process. I guess this time I got distracted.Rylan wrote:lol Woodall and Adams are going to be in the next books. Its cool no worries.

Also, Winds of Winter is projecting to be about 1500 pages - said Martin himself on the Red Carpet for the premiere the other night.

Pitt's cheerleaders would be a lot more stacked, if GRRM had anything to do with it.

Broke down and ordered HBO. $10 a month means $2.50 per episode. iTunes sells them for $1.99 an episode I assume....I'll spend the extra $2 a month for access to all the HBO channels...

Well, the good news is that you don't have to wait 10 months for Season 3 to start like most of us did when you get through S2.Letang Is The Truth wrote:I'm only 5 episodes in to season 2. Gonna have to wait a little bit more
