Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
I would blast him everywhere... League message board, tpb, etc. become such a nuisance that he kicks you out and force him to pay you back for it. A trade like that doesn't just show up unless you work something out, ESP in a pay league.
That is why I won't gamble on fantasy. No controls.

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
He relented after some of the other guys in the league called out the trades as well. He reversed the trades, reset the rosters, and instituted a 1 day vote for any trade.
Still not happy about it, but glad it got fixed.

Trade votes are where it's at. I
I've always used them in my leagues.

Yeah, I won't play in a league that doesn't have a trade vote.

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
Normally I always play the Pens' opposing goalie if I have him on the roster, since I don't care if they get lit up, and if they win, then at least I get something out of it for fantasy, but tonight I'm strongly considering sitting Rask in favor of Reimer (v WPG) and Varlamov (v EDM).

I'd probably sit Rask because I tend to overthink things. I think you still have to go with Rask. Rask and Varly for me.

I never play goalies against Pittsburgh unless it's Sunday and I won't hit my goalie minimums otherwise...not even in the dark ages here...just didn't feel right...but I'm weird...

Even objectively, it's not a great move. What goalie should be expected to perform well against the highest-scoring team in the league?mikey287 wrote:I never play goalies against Pittsburgh unless it's Sunday and I won't hit my goalie minimums otherwise...not even in the dark ages here...just didn't feel right...but I'm weird...

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
I could never win in those situations.
If I played my goalie against Pittsburgh = 8-0 blowout loss, usually pulled by 1st period...
If I didn't play my goalie against Pittsburgh = Shutout win, 80 saves.

Yeah. I only have 3 players that are owned by 100%...The rest are owned by 0%. All free agents are 0% as well.

You have to have voting on trades in leagues where there are randoms and especially if it's people on the net getting together, trusting their money to someone, and playing.npv708 wrote:He relented after some of the other guys in the league called out the trades as well. Boom. What a call! Just landed the rarest of rare! A double shutout! Benched Lundy for Bob right before the game today! Smith and Bob just clinched my week in a surprisingly tight match up against one of the weaker teams!

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
nice a unicorn sighting!
I'm getting crushed in almost every league (3 of 4). My goaltending situation seems to be the crap thats got me in trouble in each league. I knew the one team was gonna be terrible when I had Glencross, Bartschi, Hudler, and Kipper all on the same team with only 17 player rosters. Ouch!
And I'm in a 10 team league where pretty much every team is stacked and still only scraped together 24 points thus far this week. Just dropped david clarkson in that one..
And I have Lupul in 2 leagues and didn't play him last night and he had a beautiful stat line last night

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
I'm trying to rebuild, but my goalies are suddenly keeping me in both leagues.
League 1: 6 GS 6 W 2 SO 0.998 GAA .9636 SV%
League 2: 6 W 1 SO 1.64 GAA .944 SV%
Any thoughts on if Bernier gets traded to be a starter somewhere? And hopefully Allen can keep this up with the Blues. Drafted him in a keeper league a few years ago (thanks for the discussion on that one mikey) and he's killing it this year.

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
I have Lupul and Mike Green on IR. Lupul came back yesterday and Green is due back soon. The problem is that I have a lot of really decent fringe players who are contributing and I have no idea who to drop in their place. I tried trading away just about everything tradeable on my team which includes Zajac, Bogosian, Seidenberg, but no bites. Nobody trades in our league (unless its an attempt at an illegal trade). I think we've had 3 trades total in the league this year. Everyone thinks they're team is ridiculous valuable. So anyways, I have to drop two of these players to make room for Lupul and Green:
- Dustin Penner
- Mika Zibanejad
- Grant Clitsome
- Brad Stuart
- Mark Letestu
- Eric Fehr
- Jussi Jokinen

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
You can drop any two of those guys without batting an eye. See who has had the worst 7/14/30 day span and drop them. Keep the hot hands since that is why you have most of those guys, I'm assuming. Picked up when they had a few good games.
