Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
I just got completely screwed by the whole lets postpone the Bruins game, but lets do it once all the other games have started.
I have Chara, Seidenberg, and Malone that are now taking up a starting spot on my roster, because the 3 players who would've been able to replace them all played in the 1pm games. Thanks NHL!

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
The trade I just got accepted was one I like a lot. I got Kunitz, Brad Richards and Bryz. I gave up Conacher, Skinner, and Price.
Faceoff wins, hits, blocked shots and time on ice are categories, so I like the trade even better when i look at it that way.

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
I don't know the stats off-hand, but I don't love it really. Only because the two players that you gave up are on offensive teams and the goalie you gave up is on a defensive team. Richards plays on a defensive Rangers team (though, they can't score, because they try to let one line [his] do what they want and it doesn't work it seems) and Kunitz, well, he's fine, but he just had an anomalistic game that makes his value probably seem higher. Bryzgalov has been good, but he plays on an offensive team in a very tough division.
Maybe the stats say that it's good (probably, I don't know) but I see an elite goal-scorer on an offensive team and an elite goalie on a defensive team going the other way and I wince a tiny bit to be honest...

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
the one guy in our league has had or has on his team: Atkinson, Downie, Spezza, Callihan, Hartnell, Reimer, and Karlsson. I don't think I've seen luck that bad in a team in a long time as far as injuries are concerned.

I don't think there is anything more frustrating right now, then when both of your fantasy goalies have to play the blackhawks in the same week...
It wasn't/isn't pretty.

At least your best option isn't Corey Schneider or Sergei Bobrovsky now that Lehtonen is hurt (and the best available in FA is Nabokov).npv708 wrote:I don't think there is anything more frustrating right now, then when both of your fantasy goalies have to play the blackhawks in the same week...

I never know when my 2 are going to play or how well they'll play.

Have to choose between Varlamov and Lindback. One-year league. Whom do you go with and and who do you let go?

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
Varlamov. He's been pretty good for the Avs all year, they just don't have a defense. Soon enough, something will have to give.
In Tampa, Lindback has been good, but he gives up one softy per game it seems as he's trying to figure out things...he still doesn't have 50 NHL games under his belt, nor does he have experience against this level of competition night in and night out...throwing him into the hyper season like this is tough...
Varly is better and on a team that's more likely to fix their issues sooner because they look bad...Varly faces like 50 shots per game...

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
Is Francois Beauchemin's +/- sustainable? I was able to pick him up because Lehtonen and Enstrom are hurt.

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
I don't think there's any such thing. But the Ducks are like 11-2-3 or something like that, so they're on pace for 33-6-9 which isn't probably sustainable. Beauchemin is filling in for the injured Fowler, so he's playing with some good players right now and having to do more in transition. He plays 18:23 of ES TOI per night, basically 259 minutes of ES TOI this season and he's only been out there for 3 ES GA (17 for) and the goalies save pct. while he's out is .972 (next on the team for d-men is .943). Plus they have a 30-year-old "rookie" goaltender who is 8-0-0 (one shy of tying the record for undefeatedness to start a career I think) with a 1.78 GAA and a .933 save pct. on a team that improved their defense by acquiring Ben Lovejoy.MRandall25 wrote:Is Francois Beauchemin's +/- sustainable? Now, what part of that sounds sustainable to you?

Re: Fantasy Hockey Forum
Why not, I mean, ride the hot hand...especially in the hyper season...the Sharks implosion signifies that spring is coming soon, the Coyotes don't score, the Kings are fast asleep, Dallas is having an identity crisis...except for Vancouver, the entire Northwest division hates scoring...and the other division has Columbus and Nashville who couldn't score if Gretzky himself came back and played for them...
Only three or four teams in the West play in more than one direction at a time it seems...any Western player doing good, is the best player in the West...pick him up, why not...worst case, you drop him...

2 C spots
Stamkos gets one. Who do I start for the other?
Lecavalier vs. TOR
Kesler vs. VAN
