anyone have any experience with LG Lucid? I see they are free and my wife and I are both up for new phones (droid x and flip phone). It will actually save us $ to both switch to smart phones and share 4GB of data than what we have now. The Lucid looks like it has plenty of power, just wondering why they are free?

Hi. After multiple years on the iPhone, I suddenly want to switch to Droid and I am going to upgrade today. Cost is not an issue since I am re-upping with AT&T (pretty sure I keep unlimited data). What do you recommend? Galaxy S3? HTC One X? Is it worth the switch?

Yes, it's worth the change. S3 is a great phone.

I got my S3 back in September, switched from a Blackberry. I spent months debating whether I wanted to go with an iPhone or an Android device; then I bought a Galaxy Tab which settled that debate.

I like my S3.

Switching gears... anyone know how to disable this annoying Find Friends on your phone popup that comes up every time I open the FB android app?

I know a bunch of people that chose the Note II, thought it would be a strange adjustment, and now love it. My next tablet will be the Note 7. Unmatched technology.

Any car junkies will love the "Torque" app I just bought for $5. Paired with a bluetooth OBD II scanner "dongle" ($24 from Amazon) it turns your phone into another instrument cluster in your car. I'm just messing around with it now, but it looks like it can be a boost gauge, give you 0-60 times, Horsepower, MPG, and everything else your car knows but cant tell you in the small instrument cluster.

I have a Razr MAXX and I absolutely love it. We have an extra upgrade on our account, but I like this phone so much that I haven't even considered using the upgrade.

Got some kind of update from Verizon yesterday. Not noticing any impact for better or worse so far.

After reading reviews, I decided to go with the Razr M. I'm coming from an original droid X (which has been giving me problems lately) and I want something slimmer, but I really liked the look of the MAXX. Plus the M was free on newegg. I have 14 days to return it, hopefully it works out.

I too have the MAXX and i love it, not so much until the ICS update came out. Battery Life is fantastic. I'm waiting for the jellybean update now, it should be out by the end of March. I'm eligible for a new phone later this year, I'm not even thinking about getting a new one. Though I may look at into the Maxx HD when I'm eligible

Yeah, my S3 greeted me with an update this morning as well.

Here are the changes: http://www.ibtimes.com/samsung-galaxy-s ... on-1114010" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Changes in Android 4.1.2 are minimal, but still effective, and stand to streamline the everyday performance of Verizon’s Galaxy S3. Users should find improvements in their keyboards auto-correct mechanism as well as enhancements in Bluetooth performance and email syncing. A manual refresh button has been added to the lock screen ticker while VZ Navigator and Amazon have been added to stub applications. What is likely the coolest aspect of this update, users can now take pictures while on a call.

I would love a manual refresh button on my homescreen, as I have JuiceDefender running to save battery, and it cuts my radios when the screen is locked, so I don't always get my emails right away.

I like how they removed some of their apps that were useless and cleaned it up alot. the stock text messaging app looks a lot crisper now.
