Wow, what a failure on Madden's part. So much for that tested IQ of 166.

Someone will call and agree, and Poni will berated the caller for believing something so stupid.JS© wrote:The same Filaponi who said two weeks ago that Pedro should not be anywhere near a major league roster?KennyTheKangaroo wrote:filaponi had a topic a few days ago in which he argued pedro would have 30 home runs this year.Malkamaniac wrote:I'm sure Filliponi will have reasons as to why DeCastro was a terrible first round pick tonight.

Oh come on, I listened to the same show and he said no such thing. He said it might be a reason for a few people. And if you don't believe that there are a few people out there who like hockey because it's primarily white, you're delusional.IronDukes37 wrote: I thought he was just off on a wild crazy tangent trying to get a rise out of Cook, but when a caller brought it up again at the end of the show he insisted that it was in fact a major component for hockey fans.

So his point is that some people are racist? No one should argue that, but to associate race with the sport of hockey is wrong.PghSkins wrote:Oh come on, I listened to the same show and he said no such thing. Also wondered this as well, he was on with Dunlap today. Maybe he's the new John Burton.Member wrote:I feel like I should know this, but who is 'JR' on the fan?

Ive actually heard multiple state they like hockey because it's only white guys. It's disgusting, but that sentiment does existTroy Loney wrote:So his point is that some people are racist? giannoti was really pushing some sort of agenda today saying that the steelers are taking big risks with players with off the field troubles in the draft

I'm a little surprised they took that RB after he threatned to kill his girlfriend....I don't care about the smoking pot at all, but I do think the Steelers need to avoid guys with a history of abuse towards women.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
JR was a morning show host on 100.7, part of the CBS "family" ... he is a DJ and may get some PT work as a sports show host but he won't be the new Jon Burton. Chances are the "new Burton" will be alot like the old Kalena Bell.jimjom wrote:Also wondered this as well, he was on with Dunlap today. I can't stomach Vinnie anymore so I've been listening to Trib Live Radio around lunch recently. John Steigerwald has been out of control. Wow.

I loved that the Fan played an interview of Rolle using nothing but Benz's questions from the X morning show.

Apparently Starkey tore his Achilles tendon playing basketball. Now the 2pm-6pm crew have a concussion expert (Seibel) and an Achilles tendon expert.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
Well .. driving home from a Pens game once I heard the X (network) play back a locker room interview with Letang that was all Colony questions .. it happens in scrum interviews. Plus, it would probably surprise many of us who are hardcore sports followers that most people don't recognize who is asking the questions.Malkamaniac wrote:I loved that the Fan played an interview of Rolle using nothing but Benz's questions from the X morning show.

Heard it coming on twice through seperate commutes. Thank god for my mp3 player.
I used to like Gianotti, but recently he is as unlistenable as Paul Alexander.

I saw them going back and forth last night on twitter about wanting a Brad Lincoln song for the morning. I was on the verge of telling them both how awful and unfunny everyone thinks those songs are.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
A guy here at work used to work in radio, he told me that radio DJ's make meager salaries. I was just glad to know some of those guys aren't getting compensated well for their crappy product.
