i liked it. shaffer might just be a little whiney baby about the bitterness. it tasted, to me, like it could be had any time of the year. it didn't strike me as a christmas ale. still good though. nice bitter, hoppy, citrusy IPA.DocEmrick wrote:Is Sierra Nevada's winter ale, Celebration, any good?

Thanks for the heads-up, Kraftster. I do de-claya that I'll be heading to NOLA for that very com-bone-ation very soon.Kraftster wrote:Its very good. Just had the Immortal Ale. Really, really good. Unique flavors and a lot of depth. The more I drank the better it got.UVM2003 wrote:
MWB - Not a huge DFH fan, but Immort Ale is one of their best beers. Outside of Palo Santo Marron, it's probably my favorite.

Related/unrelated: I was a huge fan of Penn Pilsner lo so many years ago, then it started to give me headaches, so I stopped drinking it. Then recently, RtBG (Randy the Beer Guy) told me that the brewery changed its water, which likely caused the problems for me. Anyone else hear that?Rylan wrote:Agreed. Drinking Stegmaier Winter Warmer tonight. Quite good. Malty, with caramel undertones. I like it.

Anyone been out to Full Pint Brewery on route 30? Cool place to check out, get hammered on good beer on the cheap and pick up some x-mas gifts.
