Good people drink good beer. I once heard some drunk hobo say "life's too short to drink bad beer". Really inspired me.

If you like the coffee flavors try the Kona Pipeline Porter if you can still find it, or the Founders Breakfast Stout.columbia wrote:I had a "Black and Brew" and really enjoyed it....The coffee flavor punches through quite nicely.

Total Wine is amazing; too bad they don't sell liquor anymore.
Oh, and Paulaner Hefeweizen is top notch.

Hmmm. What state are you in? Only a few of our stores don't carry liquor.jmh470 wrote:Total Wine is amazing; too bad they don't sell liquor anymore.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
It differs by state. Maryland, although not under the Total Wine names, can sell liquor. Delaware can, as can Florida and Arizona and so on. Virginia cannot though, we can only sell beer and wine, the state controls the liquor with the ABC stores (they're losing money every year).
We're coming to Washington state, Texas, and hopefully Oregon very soon. Pennsylvania will see stores in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and central PA in the near future. The bill is in the stages of getting past to privatize liquor sales in PA. We're close, we haven't done business in PA since the old "Beer Worlds".
For all those in PA, check out this video.

Someone posted this in the Crosby thread:
![Image](http://www.muskimagazin.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Pivo-Juju.jpg)
Anyone ever had it?
I've made my own ginger ale syrup before and it's nice that you can control the strength, in terms of how much club soda you add.
This sounds even better.

Out of all the beers in my short time, I've never had Shock Top. Have one in the fridge now getting nice and cold. Not expecting anything great, just some friends saying how it's good. They also think that Natural Light is an acceptable drink, so we'll see how this goes.

It's similar to Blue Moon, a little sweeter perhaps.

They have infinium? Might have to make a trip to the Iggle tonight.Eismann wrote:Tried the Sam Adams Infinium champagne beer yesterday at Jiggle. What are some christmas favorites that people have that are available in PA? I know Sierra Nevada is a common favorite, but I'm not too huge a fan of SN in general. BUs are usually a bit much for me.
If I have any bigger get togethers I'll probably get a Sam's seasonal variety. I think their Chocolate Bock is pretty good and the Fezziwig is good.
Delirium Noel is class.
Penn Brewery Noel Bock was good.
Went out Tuesday night to Smokin' Joes and had a sample of Vertical Epic 11.11.11. Probably the oddest Epic they've made so far in the series. This one was based off of Anaheim Chile, but it wasn't overbearing. The 2 ounce sample wasn't bad, but I'm not sure if I could go through an entire 22 oz bottle without some help.

Blue Moon is a good comp. I like Shock Top a little better though. You're right though, nothing great.... Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
The Utopia is more like a cognac than a beer. If there's ever a tasting session, it's worth trying. Is it worth the pricetag on the bottle? It's debatable. The "beer" itself is interesting, but it would take forever for me to go through a bottle.tjand72 wrote:I haven't liked one Sam Adams product that I've tried. Not one.
The infinium is a combo effort between Sam Adams and (....going to google, because I'm not gonna pretend to know how to spell the name of the brewery....) Weihenstephan.

Based on the price listed in this article, either Boston has a cheaper price on their Sam Adams stuff or I got jobbed on the price at D's today.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Picked up quite a bit today:
Pliny the Elder
Russian River Blind Pig
Russian River Consecration
Mikkeller Weasel (brewed with Civet coffee)
Pretty Things Babayaga
Founders CBS (second bottle, to age)
Dogfish 120
Peche Mortel
de Struisse Pannepot
MWB - Not a huge DFH fan, but Immort Ale is one of their best beers. Outside of Palo Santo Marron, it's probably my favorite.
