If TK isn't back in the fold by noon...don't expect Shero to try and match the 3M offers he'll be seeing from some teams. Jagr is anyone's best guess?AlexPKeaton wrote:The market sucks and I do not expect the pens to sign anyone other than tk/jagr.

It may. I still think Shero gets TK done today.Lesky wrote:Jagr watch to go reach 10 days?IronDukes37 wrote:RobRossi_Trib Rob Rossi
Aside from #jagrwatch and Kennedy, not expecting much from #Pens today. Hearing they don't want to play this market.
Jagr watch may continue for a few days if Shero is just going to sit on the offer.

Upshall. Other than him, Shero will sign cheap and utilize the likes of Johnson, Tangradi and Vitale where need be.IanMoran wrote:Hypothetical, if they miss out on both, do you really think Pens will go into the season with 5 mill in cap space?AlexPKeaton wrote:The market sucks and I do not expect the pens to sign anyone other than tk/jagr.

Did anybody else hear that the Pens are set to change their team site to a Welcome Back Jaromir site at exactly 12pm? I read that online, but I can't find it again.

He's a 4th line player imo. I think Pens will have one of best 4th lines without him, so he's not really neededk0la wrote:Then they get Rupp?

Like I said, it's just like when cities plan out the victory parade before the finals are complete. You want all the preparations done before hand so you aren't rushing at the last minute.
I just think this shows that there is interest on both sides (which we already knew), but nothing is a done deal. (yet)

Whoever said it was dead on: this team is much worse without TK in it and someone else to fill the empty spot.
Also why is everyone souring on Letestu. He is clearly bylsma's boy, centered the top line last year, and played very well.

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
If Kennedy isn't resigned and we don't sign Jagr, then we are definitely either A) going after a free agent or B) making a trade.
I would say making a trade is a lot more probable because of the slim pickings on the market right now. We have pieces we can move.

Oh and Shero himself did say he has backup plans in case 1 or both players do not sign, so I think Rossi's tweet is (shockingly) wrong.

Yeah, but he'll use Letestu/Jeffrey and Dupuis on rw for the top lines. And near trade deadline he trades for some upcoming ufaIanMoran wrote:He's a 4th line player imo. I think Pens will have one of best 4th lines without him, so he's not really neededk0la wrote:Then they get Rupp?

Letestu played well in the first half. Not so much the rest of the way. Certainly his injury could be to blame, but he was pretty blah on his return.TheHammer24 wrote:Whoever said it was dead on: this team is much worse without TK in it and someone else to fill the empty spot.

I doubt we will trade anyone on our team.
Leino, Cole and Gagne could all be targets that would more than fill any void we have if we miss out on TK and Jagr.

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
I don't think he'll use Letestu / Jeffrey on that 2nd line, but even if he does the other guy centers Adams / Asham. I like Rupp, but with how tight we are on the cap it doesn't make much sense to use that space on him imo (unless they do completely strike out today and he replaces Asham on 4th line / Asham moves to third)k0la wrote:Yeah, but he'll use Letestu/Jeffrey and Dupuis on rw for the top lines. I know Brunette is a LW and think he'll go back to the Wild, but I like him a lot. I wouldn't mind the Pens adding him for the 2nd and Upshall for the 3rd.

Re: Penguins want Jagr back?!
Shero never gives any details, he basically said anything can happen. Jagr thing was 1st time he ever talked about a player that wasn't on the roster, and that is because:newarenanow wrote:In the same quote, he said that backup plan can be to "do nothing".PolarPenguin wrote:Oh and Shero himself did say he has backup plans in case 1 or both players do not sign, so I think Rossi's tweet is (shockingly) wrong.
1. His agent is a !@##$! and forced him to do
2. Probably some strategy since Jagr wants to feel loved
