Don't.

Droid 2 is right around the corner (August). Droid X is due real soon too? (like this week or next?)

Droid 2 is going to walk all over the new iPhone

And you don't need a app. the full site loads real quick. I really only use my phone to post.

Droid X has multitouch typing (Droid normal only has multitouch web and maps, and gallery). 8 MP camera.

It has HDMI OUTPUTS for gods sake, lol. And a 1Ghz clock. I think like 8 gigs on onboard storage and 16 gigs chip. On board storage is a big deal. Normal droid has like 400MB of onboard storage only (and a 16GB chip). Also records 720p video. Android 2.2 as well.

I think the Droid 2 keeps the keyboard? I rarely use the keyboard. I think they removed the arrow keys on the keyboard, resulting in larger keys to type with and a proper keyboard. Normal droid has the keys in rows and columns unlike a normal keyboard.

1ghz clock speed.

all android 2.2 has flash as well. so when normal droid gets 2.2, it will get flash.

sorry. clock speed is the term used to describe a processor speed. You "clock" it at 1ghz. Or you "overclock" it to 2ghz.

Droid runs at 550MHz, by the way. But you can safely overclock it to 1GHz

The stuff I've read in the last 5 min, would make me want to get the Droid X over the Droid 2.

It has no keyboard. So it's smaller than Droid. ( Droid is in the back left in that image)

The last time I overclocked a PC, I was without air conditioning.

I haven't done it. I don't have too. But there is a really nice app that controls the clock speed. If it's not needed, it will run the cpu at 300 MHz. If you only need a little, it will run it at 550mhz, if it starts to overheat it will turn down the clock speed - etc.

Since you are digging into this stuff, can you point us to a compare/contrast of the 2 & X?

What's the deal? Are these ARM processors?
That seems pretty low (but I'm out of mobile computing loop, so maybe not).

the multitouch typing is worthless. its still nowhere near as good as swype.

the droid x has some impressive specs but i still wouldn't trade the evo 4g for anything just can't wait for htc to release the damn source code so the developers can really make some amazing roms for rooted phones.

I think that chart is wrong though. Nearly sure that Droid X has a LED flash. And i know both run at 1ghz, not 750mhz.
