Why offer a license plate no one would buy if the team moved????

A sign that they are staying?

This had actually been announced several months ago. It just recently got approval from the state & has been formally announced.

The signup has been on the Mario Lemieux Foundation website for a while.

I don't think it's even necessary to look for subtle hints that the team is staying. The writing has been on the wall for a while now, and it's even more clear with all the recent reports. Clearly, something is going to get done.

Actually, though, I think this says nothing anyway because even if the Pens move, the Mario Lemieux Foundation will still exist, and that's what this pertains to.

Yep, already mailed in my application. It's going to look kind of funny since most people in my area are Flyers fans.

Why would something involving a cancer foundation relate back to being a good sign that the Penguins are staying in Pittsburgh?

i just think that people would be less inclined to support a lemieux charity if he moved the team. people would help in other ways if they wanted to do something

It would not be F- Cancer it would just be the team is gone, why have Mario's name on your plate. Plenty of other ways to make donations to fight cancer.

We definitely are! We have to change out our Nevada plates anyway, so this is terrific timing! :)
