Paralympics US Men's Sledge Hockey Thread

I'm watching the game right now. It is interesting.

It's a physical game. And I don't mean to play it. That's obvious. I mean checking and hit wise.

And while the Italian goalie is wearing pads, the US goalie isn't. And he has legs. Wonder if it's a balance/mobility thing.

US beats Italy 5-1. Think they would have left Cash in but I think they put Chen Lee in the 3rd because they play again tomorrow. They play S. Korea.

2 goals scored by a 15 year old forward. US has the 2 youngest players, at. 15 and 16.

US beat South Korea 3-0 today.

Cash now has 6 consecutive Paralympic shutouts. He had 5 straight at the 2010 games, where the US won gold.

No other recaps for now, as the game won't be shown today.

Neat note: A kid from Cheswick, PA is on the team. McCoy, #14.

US lost their preliminary game with Russia 2-1. Russia scored on a 5 on 3 power play in the first, and scored again in the second.

The lone US goal came in the third.

Next game - Canada.

Damn, I thought they were going to win today. Just couldn't get the offense going early.
