Just wondering if anyone would at least put "Artie" in the top 10?

That might be the first time I've ever seen someone consider Brett Hull a "net front presence"

I spelled it "Andrey-choke," but then he snagged that ring with TB.

Gaucho - indeed! If those things were more handy on my keyboard, I'd use them more often...but what can I say, Im a 'merican nd i think youre culture is stupid...
EPP - Yeah, ya know, I was trying to think about what the rest of a list might look like...and it's hard because you have to really be familiar with the players to make this call...and then where do you draw the line? I mean, does Sidney Crosby qualify for this list, even though he's not a traditional net-front guy, but he's near the goal mouth a lot...Kevin Stevens is a guy you need to think about, Ryan Smyth, Nels Stewart, Keith Tkachuk...do guys like Todd Bertuzzi or Vladimir Krutov fall into that category exactly, I'm not so sure...
It's like asking the best power forwards of all time...there's some context in there, some nuance, some different definitions and it muddies the water a tiny bit...
Good thread, rdh!

I consider it a bonus when we use apostrophes correctly...using umlauts is like going metric...

Yes, 1 goal in a career filled with slappers and snipes from the circles.

If you don't like the answer to a discussion point, why are you posting it on a message board?
I'm simply saying I don't agree with the notion Brett Hull was a net front presence. This is a discussion board after all.
Slow your roll.

But to get back on topic, one would think Keith Tkachuk would have to be top 15, maybe top 10.
Ryan Smyth may also count, but as Mikey said, the line gets a bit blurry.

John LeClair was the only Flyer on those mid-late 90s teams who I mildly liked because of how good he was around the net and the fact that he didn't act like a dbag.

Re: Five best net front presence forwards in NHL history?
Although he would never be confused for a power forward, but Luc Robitaille scored a vast majority of his goals from 5 feet in. He was great on the deflections...Some soft hands for Lucky Luc...
