Wow, what mental midget passed this?? Tucking your jersey in isn't just some fashion statement. It actually serves a purpose to some players.

this rule has been in the books for decades but it's never really been enforced. I don't specifically see the point but I think the NHL is looking at some of the custom modifications that players are doing to pads and thinking that this is the best way to nip a potential problem in the bud. I figure if OvenChicken wants to look like an idiot with his ridiculous mods on the back of his pants then let him. I don't buy that he "get a lot of crosschecks" and even if he does, the way that pad sticks out there's no way it's helping. now someone like Tomas Holmstrom, that guy needed extra protection back there! oddly enough though, he wore almost nothing on his upper half.
