Sad story but I really respect his decision and awareness that it was time to get out for his sake and everyone in his family.

From what I heard yesterday, he said he's stepping away from the game for now. At 25, that probably means retirement, but I think it seems like he's at least considering returning.

Buccigross with an oustanding column on Geoffrion's career. I so wish Bucci would be put back in an NHL-centric TV/highlight show. Granted, NBCSN and NHL network probably aren't gonna pay the bills like an ESPN anchor, but there are few better ambassadors for the overall game of hockey in the media today... hip, knowledgeable, well-spoken and well-written.
